Pearls & Stripes.

The sunshine warmed my heart today. I really needed it after the week I had had. It's all behind me now and there's no looking back, just forward...to tomorrow. So, when I woke up this morning, I knew it was the dawning of a new day, a fresh start. So I got up and put on my pearls & stripes and let the new day begin. 


 





 

 













I love dressing up, whether it be that I am going to work to teach the kids or running errands, like I did today. Pearls always make me feel wonderful, whether it be a simple pair of studs or a necklace, and today I thought, "Why not? Let's wear both!" The stripes are a constant in my wardrobe. They are cute, feminine and ultra nautical. This tee is from the original makers of stripes-Petite Bateau! Oui, you say?

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. In the end we decided upon raspberry, strawberry, vanilla & mango! The morning was quite fresh, so I decided to wear a layer of silk/cashmere over my silk chiffon shirt. This magical blend always comes through when I'm in need of extra warmth and comfort. This ensemble was the perfect match for my raspberry coloured skirt!  For a picnic, flats seemed like the perfect choice, because of their practicality. Ballistic for Bally

I have always loved Bally , especially their shoes. They're made with the softest, luxurious leather I have ever worn. Bally were my first ever pair of high end designer shoes and they fit like a glove. So this post is going to be dedicated to one of the most prestigious design houses and their amazingly comfortable, chic shoes.  Here's some of my favourites from Bally's new S/S '12 collection: Which is your favourite? I love the classic black Otty-Crest pump and the teal and navy Palda wedge sandals. Have a great week! Mine will be an interesting one. I finish teaching for the term this coming Wednesday and go on a staff retreat to Creswick for the rest of the week. I'm looking forward to breathing in the crisp, clean country air! Like Finding an Old Friend-Anna Thomas AW'26

You know the feeling you get when you bump into an old friend-the feeling is a warm and fuzzy one-well, that is how I would describe my experience today when I stepped inside the beautiful Anna Thomas boutique, Hawksburn.  I was greeted by Eva, she was attentive to my needs and my style aesthetic-showing me a few piece she thought would work, I was wearing a pair of Megan Salmon linen pants in a mustard, almost chartreuse colour. I found a blush pink cotton/silk short sleeve pussy bow blouse (lucky for me it was on sale) and another top from the new AW '26 collection in a dusty pink-Merino wool, with long sleeves (Look One). The sizing is on the slimmer side, which is fantastic as I am slim and most brands are so oversized!
