My Weekend with Odd Molly

Lazy Sundays! We all love them. Mine wasn't exactly lazy though. This time of the year is an extremely hectic time for primary teachers as we are in the middle of organising end of year reports. So after typing reports for what felt like years, I took a break and wondered out into the backyard. Our backyard is like a tropical haven, a place where I can be carefree and forget about my troubles. I frolicked around, enjoying the sunshine and cool breeze! It was such a perfect Sunday, even though I did have to work.

Report writing called for a comfortable outfit, so I put on my favourite pair of denim jeans and my  favourite Odd Molly pointelle/lace top. Odd Molly is a Swedish designer, who I discovered a couple of years ago. Their garments are stocked at Syrup, Cactus Jam & Eco D boutiques. I love the garments because they are so comfy, wearable and feminine, with an edge and quirkiness about them.

Odd Molly's philosophy is that you need to let yourself shine and truly be yourself. Don't be afraid! This is evident in the little phrases which are printed on either their labels or on the back of each garment. The label on my Odd Molly top reads, "celebrating yourselves."

It's so very true. We all should celebrate the unique individuals we are and not be afraid to show our true colours.

What do you like to wear on a lazy Sunday? Please feel free to comment as I love receiving your feedback!

Take care until next time,

Suzi x

What I'm wearing: Odd Molly Sweden pointelle buttoned down top, RM Williams denim jeans, gifted diamond studs and gold necklace with diamond heart pendant.

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. In the end we decided upon raspberry, strawberry, vanilla & mango! The morning was quite fresh, so I decided to wear a layer of silk/cashmere over my silk chiffon shirt. This magical blend always comes through when I'm in need of extra warmth and comfort. This ensemble was the perfect match for my raspberry coloured skirt!  For a picnic, flats seemed like the perfect choice, because of their practicality. So I decided to bring a touch of mango to the gelati mix! These mustard coloured, patent leather ballet flats, are so chic and comfortable. They are one of my favourite pairs of Repetto ballet flats, purchased from the fabulous Alice & Deb at Treasurette. Check out

Ballistic for Bally

I have always loved Bally , especially their shoes. They're made with the softest, luxurious leather I have ever worn. Bally were my first ever pair of high end designer shoes and they fit like a glove. So this post is going to be dedicated to one of the most prestigious design houses and their amazingly comfortable, chic shoes.  Here's some of my favourites from Bally's new S/S '12 collection: Which is your favourite? I love the classic black Otty-Crest pump and the teal and navy Palda wedge sandals. Have a great week! Mine will be an interesting one. I finish teaching for the term this coming Wednesday and go on a staff retreat to Creswick for the rest of the week. I'm looking forward to breathing in the crisp, clean country air! Olga De Polga

Melbourne based designer Olga de Polga  is renowned for their use of colour and vibrant patterns. I really enjoy adding a pop of colour when I style outfits, so if you love colour, you are bound to find something fabulous. On my recent visit, I picked up two pairs of Lillian pants, a new style to ODP, in both pink and caramel. These colours go so well with other pieces in my wardrobe. Style tip: I will not add anything to my wardrobe if it doesn't go with other pieces, so I am very particular when choosing a new piece to add to my collection. The cords fit really well, sitting at mid-waist and fall at the perfect length. The corduroy fabric is soft and feels so cosy, so perfect for Winter here in Melbourne!  Have you visited Olga de Polga? If so, what are your favourite pieces? If you haven't been in store yet, make sure you do so soon, because some styles are selling out really fast. Have a great rest of the week! Yours in style, Suzi x  What I'm Wearing ODP Lillian pants
