Investing in classics is my style philosophy. Over the years, I have made several fashion faux pas. Not any more. So what is classic style? T he Oxford dictionary sums it up quite well, "classic: ( Of a garment or design) of a simple, elegant style not greatly subject to changes in fashion: this classic navy blazer." Whenever I invest in a classic garment,it's reassuring to know that it will be a garment which I can rely on time and time again, despite the ever-changing trends in fashion. It's a stayer, both reliable and functional. On the top of my list of classics is the cashmere sweater. Cashmere is ten times warmer than wool and doesn't have the itch factor which is a characteristic of wool. It is soft to the touch and luxurious to wear. After doing a check of the classics I have and still need, I realised that I didn't own a classic black crew neck long-sleeved sweater. I have my eye on the Ralph Lauren Black Label cable knit
