This weekend, we were fortunate enough to attend a wedding in the beautiful countryside of Creswick and the weather was perfect for the occasion. The bride wore a stunning champagne gown, whilst the groom opted for a full white attire. Overall, it was a beautiful celebration of the couple's love for one another, and it was wonderful to be a part of this.
I chose to wear a dress which I was actually going to sell on Ebay. I have never worn this dress to any occasion before, as it had never properly fitted me. I tried it on a couple of months ago and was pleasantly surprised by its perfect fit. I'm glad I kept it!
I found this dress during a special outing to Bairnsdale with my husband. As we were walking along the main street, we came acros a quaint vintage-inspired boutique on the main street. The name escapes me now, but the experience doesn't. There were so many treasures in this place, that I found it almost impossible to know where to begin! As we were about to leave, I noticed a sales rack and found the perfect little black dress, made by Melbourne-based designer; Very Very.
Every stylish woman must own a LBD, and an A-line shape is flattering on most figures. I especially love the three-button detail on the left shoulder and the button detailing on the slash pockets, as well as the silhouette of this style. I kept the accessories very simple, with a stand-out handbag used as the main accessory. This Louis Vuitton Alma bag in Monogram canvas has a lot of history, given that in the 1930's, Gaston Vuitton created this bag for the late Coco Chanel upon her request. It oozes femininity and style. I just adore it!
Next time I wear this dress, I shall style it with a colourful silk scarf to bring a splash of colour into the ensemble. I was going to purchase a scarf to wear on this particular occasion, but hadn't found anything striking enough! I think I am in need of some serious vintage shopping!
How do you like to wear your LBD? I'd love to know!
