I am the first to admit that when it comes to saving, I'm no pro. Saving sounds easier than it looks in reality.
It's that time of the year where new season looks and trends start to launch online and in store. When you're trying to save up for something, whether it be an investment piece or other, this can be quite distracting and set you off track in an instant. So just how do you stay on track then?
I don't have any fast-fix solutions. However, what I can offer you are some tips which may help to keep you focused.
My first tip is to keep clippings of what you're saving up for on your fridge or inspiration board or pin on Pinterest. Every day or so, take a good look at the image. This will reaffirm your desire to continue to save for the item in question so that you're less likely to give into other temptations.
Another tip is to just buy the things you need, aka the things you run out of, in so far as skincare and beauty products and anything else inbetween which you simply CANNOT live without.
My final tip is to work out how many items you have purchased recently which you really could have lived without. Then use a calculator and simply add up how much money you have spent on these items that you didn't need. You may find you would could have had enough money to purchase the item you're saving up for.
Recently, I have made the decision to save instead of spend. Although there will definitely be other temptations along the way, I will put my own tips to good use to keep my eyes on the prize.
So can you guess what I have finally made up my mind to save up for? OK, I'll be nice and give you a little hint. The item I am saving up for was worn by my style icon, Audrey Hepburn in the iconic movie, Breakfast at Tiffany's.
If you have any tips for saving, please add them to my comment section below. The more tips to keep us on track, the better I say!
Enjoy your week!

Breakfast at Tiffany's is my favourite movie starring Hollywood's greatest style icons and multi-award winning actress, Audrey Hepburn. So, one morning, when my husband and I took a trip into Tiffany's in the city, it filled me with great nostalgia. With just one step into Tiffany and Co, Collins Street Melbourne, you get a sense of being transported back into time. Without, of course, an LBD, croissant and coffee!
I was in search for the perfect pair of earrings that I could wear every day, for both day and night. My first choice was a lovely pair of T & Co 1837 circle diamond earrings in 18ct gold. However, once I tried these on, they just didn't suit me, so we ended up perusing the diamond section. For years, I have dreamed of owning a pair of Tiffany diamond earrings.
The sales consultant was amazing and incredibly helpful. After trying on several pairs of earrings, I found the perfect ones! It was really very exciting!
I chose a pair of diamond earrings set in platinum and the sales consultant informed us that Tiffany & Co choose to set their diamonds in platinum, as it is the best precious metal for bringing out the true beauty of a diamond.
Have you been into a Tiffany & Co store recently? If so, what caught your eye?
Enjoy your week!
