Going Nude

A couple of weeks ago, I was looking for a nude lipstick for times when I want my eyes to be the main feature of my look.

I usually buy a lipstick called Venetian Rose by Estee Lauder, but it has been discontinued, much to my disappointment. So I needed to find a lipstick to replace it. Suffice to say, I didn't find the exact same shade, so I decided to go nude!

The Rouge Dior Nude collection by Christian Dior is fabulous. Not only does the lipstick have a nice, subtle fragrance, it glides on perfectly and comes in a very chic blue/black embossed casing.

My second purchase was a gloss from the Dior Addict-Ultra Gloss collection. This non-sticky, non-tingle gloss, glides on smoothly with a brush applicator. It promises to plump up your lips. Not sure if it does or not. I'll let you be the judge.

My third beauty purchase was a nail polish by Chanel in Rouge Noir, a beautiful deep burgundy colour. I cannot wait to wear it to show you what it looks like. I may even wear it on Christmas Day, so stay tuned!

So far, this week has been good to me and I am ready to embrace the rest of the week with open arms. Roll on school holidays, I say!

Have a beautiful week!

Suzi x

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. In the end we decided upon raspberry, strawberry, vanilla & mango! The morning was quite fresh, so I decided to wear a layer of silk/cashmere over my silk chiffon shirt. This magical blend always comes through when I'm in need of extra warmth and comfort. This ensemble was the perfect match for my raspberry coloured skirt!  For a picnic, flats seemed like the perfect choice, because of their practicality. So I decided to bring a touch of mango to the gelati mix! These mustard coloured, patent leather ballet flats, are so chic and comfortable. They are one of my favourite pairs of Repetto ballet flats, purchased from the fabulous Alice & Deb at Treasurette. Check out

I love miu mui

My absolute favourite international designer has to be mui mui . I find myself falling in love again and again, with each new season collection. Muiccia Prada's label is fun, feminine and fabulous!  We're really lucky to have a mui mui store in Melbourne actually. For anyone who has ever been to Chadstone Shopping Centre, you would know it is the fashion Mecca for anyone looking for high-end designer clothing and accessories. Every single time I go to Chadstone, without fail, I pay a special visit to mui mui. I know mui mui garments, shoes, and accessories are on the more expensive side, but a girl can dream right? There's just something extremely appealing to me that keeps me coming back season after season. Now to save up for a piece to call my own some day...            Do you have a high-end international designer who you really enjoy? Who is it and what makes them so appealing to you? Enjoy t

Ballistic for Bally

I have always loved Bally , especially their shoes. They're made with the softest, luxurious leather I have ever worn. Bally were my first ever pair of high end designer shoes and they fit like a glove. So this post is going to be dedicated to one of the most prestigious design houses and their amazingly comfortable, chic shoes.  Here's some of my favourites from Bally's new S/S '12 collection: Which is your favourite? I love the classic black Otty-Crest pump and the teal and navy Palda wedge sandals. Have a great week! Mine will be an interesting one. I finish teaching for the term this coming Wednesday and go on a staff retreat to Creswick for the rest of the week. I'm looking forward to breathing in the crisp, clean country air!
