Ebony & Ivory

One of my favourite songs from my childhood would have to be Ebony & Ivory, written by Paul McCartney, not because I am huge fan of his, but because the lyrics speak volumes for how we should treat eachother, no matter who we are, where we come from or how we look. The message is about living in harmony together.

So what's that got to to do with this blog post? Well, it has to do with something I found in the bottom of a plastic bag which was hidden at the top of my wardrobe while tidying up the house.

As I opened up the plastic bag, I rummaged through the clothing inside and there on the bottom, was my first ever Ebony & Ivory loveheart cashmere sweater which was a birthday gift from my husband from several years ago. What on earth was it doing in the bottom of a plastic bag? Well, that bag was meant to go to charity, except I had forgotten all about it.











This sweater had been so well loved that it started to become thin and there were several tiny holes beginning to appear. With a little TLC and needle and thread, I stitched up the tiny holes and restored the sweater back to its original glory.

I love the hearts on the front and the little grey deer with a tiny pink heart. The cashmere is so soft and cosy because the sweater has actually been made inside out. I purchased it from Eugenie Cashmere, who at the time were known as 8 Inkerman. I will soon be sharing something about Eugenie Cashmere, I'm so excited!

I hope you have been enjoying your weekend so far. I spent my day getting pampered at my hair salon, then I picked up my new Arabella Ramsay jeans from my tailor in Sandringham. Afterwards, my husband and I perused a few shops along Bay Street in Brighton. It really was a wonderful day!

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. Ballistic for Bally

I have always loved Bally , especially their shoes. They're made with the softest, luxurious leather I have ever worn. Bally were my first ever pair of high end designer shoes and they fit like a glove. So this post is going to be dedicated to one of the most prestigious design houses and their amazingly comfortable, chic shoes.  Here's some of my favourites from Bally's new S/S '12 collection: Which is your favourite? Olga De Polga

Melbourne based designer Olga de Polga  is renowned for their use of colour and vibrant patterns. I really enjoy adding a pop of colour when I style outfits, so if you love colour, you are bound to find something fabulous. On my recent visit, I picked up two pairs of Lillian pants, a new style to ODP, in both pink and caramel. These colours go so well with other pieces in my wardrobe. Style tip: I will not add anything to my wardrobe if it doesn't go with other pieces, so I am very particular when choosing a new piece to add to my collection. The cords fit really well, sitting at mid-waist and fall at the perfect length.
