Arabella Ramsay Haul

So what did I buy from Arabella Ramsay's Winter Solstice Sale, you ask? A skirt and some coloured jeans!

Having been on holidays, I have noticed a bit of a gap in my casual wardrobe, so I have acted upon this by buying myself a pair of navy jeans by Arabella Ramsay. Made with Japanese twill, these jeans are super comfy. They fit like a glove, except the length, so are as a consequence are at my tailor, The Invisible Seam, being altered.

My second garment is a fabulous mustard coloured woollen skirt, just perfect for cold, wintry days. I love the flirty pleats and feel fabulous wearing it!

I love the packaging my purchases came in, especially the beautifully printed tissue paper.

I will be posting pics of how I've styled these new items in the not too distant future, so keep your eyes peeled on my blog. Better still, become one of my highly valued followers. That way, you'll never miss out on all of the exciting things that happen around here. x

I hope you all enjoy your Friday tomorrow (T.G.I.F), no matter where you are and what you do. I may just take myself out shopping again! But you'll be guaranteed that this time, I'll only be window shopping!! I've done my dash on my budget. Oh yes, I nearly forgot to  tell you. Today I was very excited to pick up my glasses from the OPSM Eye Hub in Hawthorn. I purchased a pair of Prada and Burberry eyeglasses, so keep a look out for pics on the blog too.

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. In the end we decided upon raspberry, strawberry, vanilla & mango! The morning was quite fresh, so I decided to wear a layer of silk/cashmere over my silk chiffon shirt. This magical blend always comes through when I'm in need of extra warmth and comfort. This ensemble was the perfect match for my raspberry coloured skirt!  For a picnic, flats seemed like the perfect choice, because of their practicality. So I decided to bring a touch of mango to the gelati mix! These mustard coloured, patent leather ballet flats, are so chic and comfortable. They are one of my favourite pairs of Repetto ballet flats, purchased from the fabulous Alice & Deb at Treasurette. Check out

Ballistic for Bally

I have always loved Bally , especially their shoes. They're made with the softest, luxurious leather I have ever worn. Bally were my first ever pair of high end designer shoes and they fit like a glove. So this post is going to be dedicated to one of the most prestigious design houses and their amazingly comfortable, chic shoes.  Here's some of my favourites from Bally's new S/S '12 collection: Which is your favourite? I love the classic black Otty-Crest pump and the teal and navy Palda wedge sandals. Have a great week! Mine will be an interesting one. I finish teaching for the term this coming Wednesday and go on a staff retreat to Creswick for the rest of the week. I'm looking forward to breathing in the crisp, clean country air! My top ten must-haves!

Fashion fads come & go, but real style stands the test of time. As mentioned earlier, I'm one for classics versus trends. I love buying clothing that lasts and is therefore timeless.  I have put myself up for the challenge of finding classic pieces using Audrey Hepburn as an example. Here's my list of the top ten must-haves!! 1. Man's style classic buttoned down white shirt 2. LBD-Little Black Dress 3. A-Line dress/skirt 4. Trench Coat (Burberry is the original) 5. Black turtleneck sweater (Preferably cashmere) 6. Leopard print (one piece at a time/NEVER more than one!!) 7. Silk Scarf (Preferably Hermes) 8. Ballet Flats 9. Pearls (Earrings/necklace) 10. Investment handbag (look to Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Prada for classic styles)   What's your favourite out of my top ten must-haves?  Enjoy your weekend and, whatever you do, make sure you do it in st
