paper back lovers

Until recently, I had only ever read about Camilla & Marc and seen their creations gracing the pages of glossy mags, such as Harper's Bazaar and Vogue Australia. That is, until I stepped foot into their creative space along the Paris-lesque Street known as High Street, Armadale. I found so many amazing garments hanging deliciously on each hanger, I knew that this label would be one to keep on my style radar.

I visited the boutique when Camilla & Marc still had their Spring/Summer '11 range out. The dress below was on sale and I'm kicking myself that I didn't purchase it there and then. The bottom half which is a gorgeous green shade is actually made from suede. I love the vibrant blue hues, contrasting with the yellow and green. Pure genius!

One of my absolute favourites in the Camilla & Marc's new AW '12 Paperback Lovers range is the Maggie May LBD. Although it isn't a classic A-line shape, I love it because of its flattering elements, such as the use of ruching and layers in all the right places.  The cinched in waistband adds to this creative flattery.

The back of the dress has a cut-out piece that highlights the lower back. There is an exposed zip as well, which I am a huge fan of (see my post on my Bettina Liano bow skirt).

Another favourite element of the new collection is Camilla & Marc's floral accented dresses, skirts and jackets. I'm in love with the floral Revival A-line dress. It's such a chic piece for Autumn/Winter.

I'm of the opinion that Camilla & Marc design creativity and aesthetic is a force to be reckoned with. I hope I get to see their new collection in the upcoming Paris Runway event as part of the LMFF! It would just rock my world, so to speak!

Who's rocking your world at the moment?

Suzi x

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. In the end we decided upon raspberry, strawberry, vanilla & mango! The morning was quite fresh, so I decided to wear a layer of silk/cashmere over my silk chiffon shirt. This magical blend always comes through when I'm in need of extra warmth and comfort. This ensemble was the perfect match for my raspberry coloured skirt!  For a picnic, flats seemed like the perfect choice, because of their practicality. So I decided to bring a touch of mango to the gelati mix! These mustard coloured, patent leather ballet flats, are so chic and comfortable. They are one of my favourite pairs of Repetto ballet flats, purchased from the fabulous Alice & Deb at Treasurette. Check out ...

Ballistic for Bally

I have always loved Bally , especially their shoes. They're made with the softest, luxurious leather I have ever worn. Bally were my first ever pair of high end designer shoes and they fit like a glove. So this post is going to be dedicated to one of the most prestigious design houses and their amazingly comfortable, chic shoes.  Here's some of my favourites from Bally's new S/S '12 collection: Which is your favourite? I love the classic black Otty-Crest pump and the teal and navy Palda wedge sandals. Have a great week! Mine will be an interesting one. I finish teaching for the term this coming Wednesday and go on a staff retreat to Creswick for the rest of the week. I'm looking forward to breathing in the crisp, clean country air! Paint Spot

I've always loved dresses with spots, ever since I spotted Julia Roberts from the movie Pretty Woman, wearing one. They're so feminine and pretty.  A couple of months ago, while perusing Karen Walker 's Spring/Summer collection online, I eyed this paint spot dress and couldn't resist it. I decided I would wear it on Christmas Day, rain, hail or shine. I was so lucky Melbourne's weather was behaving itself that day. Lucky for me! I cannot believe Christmas has been and gone already and now we're into the new year. Over the festive season, a wonderful time was had, catching up with family and my closest friends. We made the traditional roast with all of the trimmings and it was such a perfect day. Christmas has to be my favourite time of the year. How about you? What did you do? I've been enjoying the holidays so far. Of course shopping was high on my priorities, being a lover of all things fashion. I bought myself two beautiful dresses f...
