Moncler S/S 2018 My Edit

I am absolutely loving the new Spring Summer '18 collection by Italian fashion designer label, Moncler . The preppy French chic style really appeals to my more casual side. Think fabulous clothes you can wear on a day off or on a weekend.   I love the way Moncler have put together their looks for the new season to give a very relaxed, chic, effortless feel.  Clever integration of the trademark Moncler puffer jackets, sees the Italian fashion house stay true to the very essence of the brand.  Colourways of red, khaki, and beige keep the collection preppy. The use of stripes evokes a very French-chic feel and prints keep things young and flirty. Black, cream and navy is used to keep the collection classic and sophisticated. I love every look in the Spring Summer '18 collection. I think I would be hard-pressed to choose my favourite, since I pretty much adore everything!  Do you have a favourite look fr...

Update on Ralph Lauren in Australia

Most of you guys know how very fond I am of Ralph Lauren clothing, particularly the runway womenswear Collection label. I have published multiple posts showcasing this iconic American brand. The impeccable quality, fit and style of the Collection label is second to none-the creme de la creme, shall we say. I think the Ralph Lauren Purple Label for women, now named Collection , has the best slim fit cashmere sweaters on the luxury designer market today. I own several pieces. But now that's about to change.  Why, you ask? Because Ralph Lauren Melbourne, Australia, is no longer going to carry the luxury Collection label. That's right folks. You heard it right.  On a recent birthday stay in Melbourne earlier on in May, I visited the Ralph Lauren's Flagship Store on the Paris end of Collins Street. I had saved up my hard earned money to purchase another slim fit 100% cashmere sweater in Lux Tan. I looked around in the store eager with anticipation, hoping to find the swea...

Little Black Skirt (LBS)

One of my favourite labels is Max & Co , the trendier, youthful label of MaxMara, an Italian brand which has been in operation since the early 1950s. During a recent visit to Max & Co, I was on the lookout for a skirt I could wear for both casual and formal occasions. While perusing their gorgeous garments from Max & Co's Spring/Summer 2018 collection, I came across a Little Black Skirt (LBS) in ribbed faille. The fit was so flattering on my petite frame and I absolutely loved the pockets, so I just had to purchase it right then and there!  I am hoping to wear my new LBS on Valentine's Day. My husband and I are going out for lunch to a fancy Italian restaurant. I think I will pair it with a silk navy blouse and black patent pumps.  Have you had any really great fashion purchases recently? What are you doing for Valentine's Day? I'd love to hear from you, so please add your response in the section below.  Yours in style, ...

Burberry September 2017

For years now, Burberry has been one of my favoured British design houses. Led by Christopher Bailey at the design helm, the collection for September, 2017, is edgy, contemporary and yet very eclectic. With the addition of tartan, this collection stays true to British history and tradition. Of course, I am most partial to the tartan skirt. I have two in my arsenal. Enjoy your week! Ralph Lauren Collection Pre-Fall '17

I n my eyes, no other designer does it quite like Ralph Lauren . I guess what appeals to me the most is the timelessness of the garments and  the sheer fact the garments are classics, which means they will still look fabulous in years to come.  Of course, a designer must know what looks best on the woman's figure. I love the way Ralph Lauren garments skim a woman's curves and highlight the most flattering areas.  My absolute favourite piece from the new Ralph Lauren Collection for Pre-Fall '17, consists of a two piece tweed jacket and pant ensemble, the Helene Jacket  which highlights the shoulders and pants skimming the hips. So chic, so classic and timeless.  What is your favourite piece from this collection? Yours in style,  Suzi x images c/o Vogue

Ralph Lauren Never Lets Me Down

There's one brand that never lets me down, and that's the iconic American designer label, Ralph Lauren . I still own several oxford shirts which I wear to work that I bought years ago. They are still in good nick, despite the numerous times they have been worn. Now that says a lot about the quality and craftsmanship of the brand. That's why I will continue to purchase Ralph Lauren garments.  What is your favourite go-to, "never-let's-you-down" label? Enjoy the long weekend, peeps from Australia!  Yours in style,  Suzi x images from vogue.com SS/17 http://www.vogue.com/fashion-shows/spring-2017-ready-to-wear/ralph-lauren/slideshow

Back to my favourites

Well, I am finally back on the blog and boy, have I missed it. Life has been extremely hectic and I have had little down-time of late. My work a a primary teacher, whilst rewarding, is hectic, crazy and demanding. It is report writing time for me, and I am hoping that writing on the side, will help get me through all the stress. I have missed posting on here but now I am back, it feels wonderful! The blog is definitely one of my favourites in my life. Speaking of favourites, today my most favourite, "can't live without" beauty product is now back on the shelf in my vanity. I am talking about Creme de la Mer: the ultrarich creme. I do not know how I have survived without this for as long as I have. The price is quite excessive, but I strongly believe that you get what you pay for. If I added up the total price of all of the beauty products I have used recently, I think I would come fairly close to breaking even. You see, when you buy inexpensive, low range beauty produ...
