Ahoy sailor!









Every time I have to go out somewhere on the weekend I think of all of the possible outfit options that would best suit the place I'm going and what I'll be doing while I'm there. I'm my own personal stylist!

The particular place I was going to this morning was a shopping complex to pick up some new woollen throws for our leather couches. My outfit of choice comprised of my favourite striped breton top and my high-waisted jeans. It's a casual look that's very French chic. I love the nautical inspired belt, with its stripes and brass buckle. I wore my new black patent pumps for the first time too. I just adore them!

Last night, my husband and I had a wonderful evening catching up with some dear friends. We enjoyed talking for hours and eating scrumptious Italian culinary delights at Ricardo's Trattoria. I even had the most gorgeous gluten free sticky date pudding imaginable. If you haven't yet been there, you're missing out on something very special. Ricardo's comes highly recommended and is located at 99 Dundas Place, Albert Park, Melbourne.

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. Olga De Polga

Melbourne based designer Olga de Polga  is renowned for their use of colour and vibrant patterns. I really enjoy adding a pop of colour when I style outfits, so if you love colour, you are bound to find something fabulous. On my recent visit, I picked up two pairs of Lillian pants, a new style to ODP, in both pink and caramel. These colours go so well with other pieces in my wardrobe. Style tip: I will not add anything to my wardrobe if it doesn't go with other pieces, so I am very particular when choosing a new piece to add to my collection. The cords fit really well, sitting at mid-waist and fall at the perfect length. Grace Kelly: Style Icon

Some of you may know already that I recently went on a country  girls' getaway with my mother to Bendigo to view the Grace Kelly: A Style Icon exhibition. I am so thrilled that I did! It was simply amazing.  The package I purchased was the Country Girls' Getaway, which included one nights accomadation at the City Centre Motel (4 star), breakfast, in-house Grace Kelly Movies, plus 2 x tickets to the exhibition. The special pack I received upon check-in, which included a terrific shopping and dining guide, special discounts and maps. The exhibition was held at the Bendigo Art Gallery. The session was timed by the hour to prevent the influx of visitors, which I felt worked really well. There was plenty of room and I didn't feel like I needed to hurry up, so instead, took my time, taking in every detail.
