One hot Saturday, I spent the morning at my fabulous hairdressing salon: Rokk Ebony . I always leave there feeling fabulous and today was no exception. Nothing beats having a fresh cut and colour! I love to wear breathable fabrics on days like these and this outfit is perfect, since it is made from silk. This versatile Louis Vuitton accessories pouch also doubles as a clutch. You'd be amazed at how much this actually fits in.   Today my husband and I took a little drive around Middle Park, Albert Park and Port Melbourne. I looked in some lovely boutiques- Paloma Bleu (see this post ) and Diva Scandinavia . I purchased a couple of things from two of my favourite Swedish designers, Filippa K and Maria Westerlind . Quirky, chic and feminine, with an edge. That's the new resort '12 collection from          E L L E R Y . Colours of pure white, fiery red, metallics, and turquoise mixed with aubergine, it's a playful fusion of colour. I'm loving this collection, with its crisp silhouettes and interesting design details, exposed stitching, subliminal textures , drapery and structural fabrics.     I hope you had a great week! I'm revelling in the fact it's Friday. Although I'm doing the laundry right now- even fashionistas need to do housework -I'm relieved to have a break from work. It's been a crazy week!! It's nice to be able to walk into a shop and know that the majority of the items off the rack are most likely going to fit you for a change. I do have my trusty tailor on hand but I would prefer to buy garments which require very little altering. Max & Co is one such shop. I purchased an outfit from Max and Co a couple of months ago from their Spring/Summer collection. I promise to feature this in a  special blog post for Christmas. Hopefully the suspense won't be too much to bear! Since Max and Co is an Italian label, they are a season ahead of Australia. Miuccia Prada of Mui Mui reveals her new Resort Campaign. Feminine yet quirky, with floral detailing and luxurious fabrics. So divine! How cute are the bows? I admit to getting rather excited when I hear about high end designers collaborating with high street labels. Such is the case with French fashion house, Maison Martin Margiela and H&M .  I guess I won't be able to have first hand experience of the collection, since Australia does not as yet have a H&M, but I foresee that this may be a possibility some time down the track.    You can purchase current footwear collections by Maison Martin Margiela from Deb & Alice of Treasurette, a fabulous boutique, boasting high end designer footwear and accessories. Located in the heart of the city, there's no excuse but to pay them a visit the next time you venture out that way. I can't tell you how happy I am that it is Friday. My week has been extremely hectic with, from testing students through to corrections and typing of student reports, it has been full on. I have this fabulous baby blue argyle cashmere sweater which I love to wear when I'm feeling blue! It cheers me up in an instant and makes me feel warm and cosy. Another little soft and cuddly little thing in my life that cheers me up as well, is my fluffy companion, my little dog. His name is Scrufffy and he is adorable! Always there when I need him, so reliable, so lovable.  What do you do on days when you're feeling blue? Hope you're having a fabulous week.
