white singlet

It's a Czech tradition in my family to celebrate Christmas Eve together. I wanted to wear something cool and comfortable, yet chic & stylish. The weather this day was hot, so I opted for my white rib singlet and paired it with a statement piece, my Yeojin Bae skirt.

White T-shirts and singlets can easily be dressed up and are fabulous items to have in your closet. Each season it pays to replace those that no longer look so crisp and white. Both are fabulous items for Christmas sales shopping!

I decided to accessorise with pearls once again. I always feel glamorous when I am wearing them! It must be the Coco Chanel in me!!

I am wearing one of my favourite pairs of  Repetto pumps. The cute Mary Jane pumps suit the look I was after. The suede fabric complements the silk texture of the skirt.

What are your new year's eve plans? We're having friends & family over for drinks and a seafood BBQ. I can't wait!

I would like to thank my loyal readers for all of your support and for following my blog. I look forward to sharing many more posts with you during 2012!

Yours in style,

Suzi x

What I'm Wearing: Tommy Hilfiger white ribbed singlet, Yeojin Bae silk skirt, Repetto Lola black suede Mary Jane pumps, Oroton pearls.

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. In the end we decided upon raspberry, strawberry, vanilla & mango! The morning was quite fresh, so I decided to wear a layer of silk/cashmere over my silk chiffon shirt. This magical blend always comes through when I'm in need of extra warmth and comfort. This ensemble was the perfect match for my raspberry coloured skirt!  For a picnic, flats seemed like the perfect choice, because of their practicality. So I decided to bring a touch of mango to the gelati mix! These mustard coloured, patent leather ballet flats, are so chic and comfortable. They are one of my favourite pairs of Repetto ballet flats, purchased from the fabulous Alice & Deb at Treasurette. Check out

Ballistic for Bally

I have always loved Bally , especially their shoes. They're made with the softest, luxurious leather I have ever worn. Bally were my first ever pair of high end designer shoes and they fit like a glove. So this post is going to be dedicated to one of the most prestigious design houses and their amazingly comfortable, chic shoes.  Here's some of my favourites from Bally's new S/S '12 collection: Which is your favourite? I love the classic black Otty-Crest pump and the teal and navy Palda wedge sandals. Have a great week! Mine will be an interesting one. I finish teaching for the term this coming Wednesday and go on a staff retreat to Creswick for the rest of the week. I'm looking forward to breathing in the crisp, clean country air! Olga De Polga

Melbourne based designer Olga de Polga  is renowned for their use of colour and vibrant patterns. I really enjoy adding a pop of colour when I style outfits, so if you love colour, you are bound to find something fabulous. On my recent visit, I picked up two pairs of Lillian pants, a new style to ODP, in both pink and caramel. These colours go so well with other pieces in my wardrobe. Style tip: I will not add anything to my wardrobe if it doesn't go with other pieces, so I am very particular when choosing a new piece to add to my collection. The cords fit really well, sitting at mid-waist and fall at the perfect length. The corduroy fabric is soft and feels so cosy, so perfect for Winter here in Melbourne!  Have you visited Olga de Polga? If so, what are your favourite pieces? If you haven't been in store yet, make sure you do so soon, because some styles are selling out really fast. Have a great rest of the week! Yours in style, Suzi x  What I'm Wearing ODP Lillian pants
