gold & silver

I do admit to being a bit of a makeup junkie. One of my favourite go-to makeup brands is Estee Lauder. Back in May this year, I was lucky enough to get my hands on the very last limited edition Pure Colour eyeshadow palette in Wild Violet. This palette is perfect for the festive season as it features five eyeshadows which contain shimmery shadows in gold, silver and deep purple, as well as matt shadows in taupe and fawn.

Pure Colour 04 Wild Violet

Earlier on in the week, I attended a special graduation ceremony for the grade sixes at the primary school where I work. I decided to go for a more celebratory look, featuring gold & silver eyeshadows. I used my trusty Lancome Le Crayon kohl eyeliner in noir and the fabulously intense faux cils mascara by Chantecaille, also in black. I cannot live without this mascara. It's the creme de la creme!

As my eyes were quite intense, I left the lips fairly nude and chose to wear my Estee Lauder Signature lipstick in Venetian Rose. My holy grail foundation (as featured here) is Chanel's Vitalumiere, along with the blush and bronzer universal.

The night called for my trusty LBD. You can never go wrong with a little black dress! I accessorised it with my favourite pearls. Chanelling Madame Chanel, I felt ever so glam and ready to celebrate the evening. The makeup seemed to suit the occasion perfectly. It was a night to remember for sure!

What's your favourite party look for the season?

Please feel free to leave a comment! I love hearing from you and enjoy reading every single comment I receive!

  1. Loving the focus on the eyes, so pretty! I tend to just do red lips and some cat-eye, I'm not too fancy haha. That and I have no idea what I"m doing when it comes to makeup!

    Happy Holidays love!

  3. Thanks for your comments Alexandra & Rachel.
Red lips & lined eyes do look amazing, especially with false eyelashes.

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. In the end we decided upon raspberry, strawberry, vanilla & mango! The morning was quite fresh, so I decided to wear a layer of silk/cashmere over my silk chiffon shirt. This magical blend always comes through when I'm in need of extra warmth and comfort. This ensemble was the perfect match for my raspberry coloured skirt!  For a picnic, flats seemed like the perfect choice, because of their practicality. So I decided to bring a touch of mango to the gelati mix! These mustard coloured, patent leather ballet flats, are so chic and comfortable. They are one of my favourite pairs of Repetto ballet flats, purchased from the fabulous Alice & Deb at Treasurette. Check out

Olga De Polga

Melbourne based designer Olga de Polga  is renowned for their use of colour and vibrant patterns. I really enjoy adding a pop of colour when I style outfits, so if you love colour, you are bound to find something fabulous. On my recent visit, I picked up two pairs of Lillian pants, a new style to ODP, in both pink and caramel. These colours go so well with other pieces in my wardrobe. Style tip: I will not add anything to my wardrobe if it doesn't go with other pieces, so I am very particular when choosing a new piece to add to my collection. The cords fit really well, sitting at mid-waist and fall at the perfect length. The corduroy fabric is soft and feels so cosy, so perfect for Winter here in Melbourne!  Have you visited Olga de Polga? If so, what are your favourite pieces? If you haven't been in store yet, make sure you do so soon, because some styles are selling out really fast. Have a great rest of the week! Yours in style, Suzi x  What I'm Wearing ODP Lillian pants

Grace Kelly: Style Icon

Some of you may know already that I recently went on a country  girls' getaway with my mother to Bendigo to view the Grace Kelly: A Style Icon exhibition. I am so thrilled that I did! It was simply amazing.  The package I purchased was the Country Girls' Getaway, which included one nights accomadation at the City Centre Motel (4 star), breakfast, in-house Grace Kelly Movies, plus 2 x tickets to the exhibition. The special pack I received upon check-in, which included a terrific shopping and dining guide, special discounts and maps. The exhibition was held at the Bendigo Art Gallery. The session was timed by the hour to prevent the influx of visitors, which I felt worked really well. There was plenty of room and I didn't feel like I needed to hurry up, so instead, took my time, taking in every detail. I could have spent all day looking at every single minute detail of each and every one of the stunning gowns that adorned this beau
