Channeling Audrey, oh and I am back!

I decided to take the tram in to the city the other day. The weather was not too hot, not too cold. Perfect for a stroll and a little bit of retail therapy. I knew there were a few clothing items I had my eye on, so needed to wear something that was easy to take on and put back on.

I chose my favourite white dress by Ciao Lucia as it features an elastic back and easy tie which you tie up to make a bow. This crisp white cotton dress has a lovely lace detail on the bodice and a beautiful drape on the skirt. I knew it would look so Summery worn with my gorgeous handmade straw basket, made by the African ladies from Manabaskets. Of course, the only pair of comfortable shoes I can walk in without getting sore feet are my trusty ballet flats by Chloe, in the most stunning and versatile, chameleon colour, pewter.

I felt so wonderful in this outfit. An Audrey Hepburn inspired outfit-white dress, fitted at the waist, a little bag and ballet flats. I wore my hair up into a french chignon, quite like Audrey's up-do in Breakfast at Tiffany's!

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. In the end we decided upon raspberry, strawberry, vanilla & mango! The morning was quite fresh, so I decided to wear a layer of silk/cashmere over my silk chiffon shirt. This magical blend always comes through when I'm in need of extra warmth and comfort. This ensemble was the perfect match for my raspberry coloured skirt! For a picnic, flats seemed like the perfect choice, because of their practicality. So I decided to bring a touch of mango to the gelati mix! Ballistic for Bally

I have always loved Bally , especially their shoes. They're made with the softest, luxurious leather I have ever worn. Bally were my first ever pair of high end designer shoes and they fit like a glove. So this post is going to be dedicated to one of the most prestigious design houses and their amazingly comfortable, chic shoes. Paint Spot

I've always loved dresses with spots, ever since I spotted Julia Roberts from the movie Pretty Woman, wearing one. They're so feminine and pretty. A couple of months ago, while perusing Karen Walker 's Spring/Summer collection online, I eyed this paint spot dress and couldn't resist it. I decided I would wear it on Christmas Day, rain, hail or shine. I was so lucky Melbourne's weather was behaving itself that day. Lucky for me! I cannot believe Christmas has been and gone already and now we're into the new year. Over the festive season, a wonderful time was had, catching up with family and my closest friends. We made the traditional roast with all of the trimmings and it was such a perfect day. Christmas has to be my favourite time of the year. How about you? What did you do?
