Long Weekend

I really do love weekends! Saturday is usually my day for running errands and Sunday is more of a day where I can put up my feet and relax. This weekend, however, I have a long weekend! It's the Labour Day public holiday on Monday. Yippee! Excuse me, while I do a happy dance around the lounge room.

First thing Saturday morning, I paid a visit to my hairdressers for a fringe trim. It grows like crazy, so to maintain it, I pay a visit every two weeks.  

I felt like wearing a dress that wasn't too hot or cold, so chose this beautiful Karen Walker silk dress. Our weather has been cooler in the mornings of late. This Karen Walker dress feels very vintage-inspired to me, with the cut and drape of the fabric, even down to the print.





I'm looking forward to going into the city on Sunday with my husband. While we're there, I'm hoping to purchase a new pair of knee high Winter boots. We'll go out for lunch somewhere too.

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. Ballistic for Bally

I have always loved Bally , especially their shoes. They're made with the softest, luxurious leather I have ever worn. Bally were my first ever pair of high end designer shoes and they fit like a glove. So this post is going to be dedicated to one of the most prestigious design houses and their amazingly comfortable, chic shoes.  Here's some of my favourites from Bally's new S/S '12 collection: Which is your favourite? Paint Spot

I've always loved dresses with spots, ever since I spotted Julia Roberts from the movie Pretty Woman, wearing one. They're so feminine and pretty.  A couple of months ago, while perusing Karen Walker 's Spring/Summer collection online, I eyed this paint spot dress and couldn't resist it. I decided I would wear it on Christmas Day, rain, hail or shine. I was so lucky Melbourne's weather was behaving itself that day. Lucky for me! I cannot believe Christmas has been and gone already and now we're into the new year. Over the festive season, a wonderful time was had, catching up with family and my closest friends. We made the traditional roast with all of the trimmings and it was such a perfect day. Christmas has to be my favourite time of the year. How about you? What did you do?
