Australia is home to some of the world's most coveted designer labels. A label that is world renowned for its beautiful ready-to-wear, resort and swimwear collections is none other than Australian label, Zimmerman . The talent behind Australia's most successful Australian label is sister duo, Nicky and Simone Zimmerman. Since its inception, in 1991, Zimmerman boasts 14 stand alone boutiques, as well as two concept stores in New York and another located in California.  Zimmerman use of high-quality fabrics in the manufacturing of their stunning creations, makes them one of the most luxurious, sought after labels available today. From silk/cotton blends, embroidery lace and the most chic swimwear, Zimmerman has proven to be right at the forefront of the fashion frontier. My absolute favourite look of all time has always been Zimmerman's day dresses, which are crafted from the most divine embroidery lace imaginable. Is it any wonder there i...

In the navy

Tonight, we are catching up with old friends for dinner at a quaint Thai restaurant. After a little bit of deliberating, I decided to wear this navy Karen Walker bow dress because it's quite a warm evening here in Melbourne. I love the fact the dress has no sleeves, yet comes down to the knees. It's quite a demure style, but allows enough skin to be on show. It's also very feminine and classy; my choice for an evening out with friends. While I was getting ready, I also managed a quick manicure and pedicure u sing the OPI nude shade Barefoot in Barcelona. What is your preferred outfit for a night out with friends? Please leave your comments below.  Yours in style, Suzi x Karen Walker dress Repetto Paris patent leather wedge booties Tiffany ring Pandora charm bracelet in 14ct gold Miu Miu handbag

Audrey Style: Pretty Dresses for Spring

It's Springtime here in my hometown, Melbourne, Australia. Melbourne has a reputation of having four seasons in one day. It's true and I really like it! Lately, though it's been feeling a lot more like Summer, with days,  in the low 30s in the middle of Spring! Bazaar, isn't it? Whenever I think of Springtime,  I always think of pretty dresses. Of course, pretty dresses do not have to be limited to just the one season! There's something about a pretty dress that makes you feel so wonderfully feminine and elegant. I find inspiration in the dresses Audrey Hepburn wore, in both her movies and off set. From couture gowns designed by Givenchy, to more classic styles, Audrey wore these dresses like nobody else. The styles are classic and timeless, so remain as stylish as they were back then. Audrey is the epitome of elegance and prettiness. Here is a collection of my all time favourite dresses from the Audrey arch...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Yesterday, I picked up my Christmas present to myself from Burberry . Intially. I never really intended upon getting myself anything, but knew I wanted something new to wear for Christmas Day. After I picked up my garment, I decided it would go under the Christmas tree for me to open on Christmas Day. I ordered my Christmas present online as it was not available in store. I don't really have an issue with this because it's a simple process to follow. Delivery is free and returns are a cinch. I always choose the option of collect-in-store. The professional and friendly staff at Burberry are always efficient in finding my order and are so helpful when it comes to trying on the garment and making my final choice as to whether or not it the right fit and style. I purchased my Burberry Prorsum cashmere sweater in the exact same way. I absolutely love this sweater and am so glad I made the choice to order it online. While I was at Chadstone, I stopped...

Burberry London

One of my favourite international high-end designers is Burberry London . Burberry London's garments are made from superior quality, using the most divine of fabrics, including luxurious silks and cashmere. I will keep coming back to Burberry London because of this. Their garments are, put simply, beautiful! What I have my eye on this month, is the 100% silk pleat and bow tunic shirt in the colour military navy. It features a demure bow at the neck and feminine pleats running vertically down the centre panel at the front of the garment. I like the snap closure and button features as it means you can create more of casual look as well. Versatility is the key in making the most of your wardrobe. The more looks created from one garment, the better for you (and your pocket too). This stunning silk tunic shirt would be the perfect partner to my Burberry London navy skirt as featured in a previous blog post (click here to see). Remember, the key to investment dressing is t...

karen walker resort 2014

I am excited that Sean and I are going to be celebrating our wedding anniversary soon, so I have been dropping subtle hints here and there as to what I might like as a gift. Although I love surprises, I also love choosing something special.  I always feel fabulous whenever I put on one of my Karen Walker dresses, so I decided to go online to check out her new resort collection to see if I could find myself something special.  I must say, this collection is fabulous! The dresses in particular come in both monochrome and Karen Walkers signature prints. Here's my top five pics from the collection. Even though I am an advocate for the LBD, I choose navy over black more often, as I find black a little too severe on my skin tone. In my opinion, navy is both feminine and chic. I think it's rather wonderful that Karen Walker has continued to include navy in every collection she does.  My favourite look is the court dress in navy, which is look 3.  W...

Longer lengths

After having had my hair cut at my shoulders a year or two ago, I have been desperately trying to grow it longer again. I credit Marie and Emma from Toni & Guy in Brighton for helping me along the way, with their expertise and precision in colour, cut & style. When I took these photos, I realised how long my hair has actually grown!  I guess as the saying goes, good things come to those who wait!! My first week of holidays have been so productive with Spring cleaning and gardening. It feels fabulous to accomplish so much in such little time. I am really looking forward to Saturday's AFL Grand Final with our team, Hawthorn, playing against Sydney Swans. Admittedly, I am feeling a tad nervous. I'll be barracking hard as we watch the game in the comfort of our lounge room. Go Hawks! Until next time, stay stylish, Yours in style, Suzi x   I'm wearing: Sambag cashmere hoodie

Investment shopping

With every item I consider purchasing, I ask myself whether or not it is going to be a good investment, how many times I intend to wear it, what else it matches in my current wardrobe and finally, whether or not it is a classic, timeless piece. Of course, I do not always stick to classics as such, but the majority of the time, my investment pieces are timeless in nature.  My advice to those of you wanting to invest in an item of clothing is to buy the very best quality you can afford. It is better to save and buy a garment which will stand the test of time and look fabulous in years to come, than it is to buy several garments of a lower quality. Another tip is to choose a garment in a classic style so that you can wear it season after season, regardless of what is on-trend. Classic styles include white collared shirts, tailored jackets, cashmere sweaters, a-line skirts, tailored pants, dark denim jeans and of course, the little black dress. Every girl needs at least one of thos...

searching for a classic

For my birthday , back in May, I purchased a gorgeous Burberry Prorsum cashmere sweater in grey melange. This is the best purchase I have ever made, with its superb quality and craftsmanship and luxurious feel. I just adore it.  I have been trying to find another cashmere sweater of equal quality, to pair with my Burberry London navy skirt, in a more fitted style. The only problem is that it is proving to be a little more difficult than I had anticipated. Boxy, relaxed and printed styles of cashmere sweaters seem to be everywhere. After searching and searching, Burberry once again, have proven that they are the market leaders when it comes to offering high-quality cashmere garments in classic styles. I think I may have found what I have been looking for.  Burberry London has a slim-fit cashmere sweater in an array of colours, which I am thinking of purchasing.  So it looks as though I may need to stick with purchasing my classic cashmere sweaters from Burberry fr...

Classic Cashmere

After an afternoon of web-surfing led me to Sydney based cashmere designer, Sonya Hopkins , my search is officially over. I have been looking for a cashmere stockist who manufacturers cashmere in classic styles and petite sizing (XS) for what seems like a lifetime. On my wish list is the classic 100% cashmere crew neck sweater in black. Unfortunately, due to bad timing on my part, aka it being the end-of-season, I have missed out on my size. However, Sonya has kindly placed me on file and will let me know when this becomes available again. Such fabulous customer service, don't you think? I'm also loving the cable knits and crew neck cardigans too. So classic and oh so chic! Sonya Hopkins is located at 17 William St, Paddington, NSW, Australia. Alternatively, you can shop online, where you'll receive free shipping with every order placed.    How's your weekend been so far? Mine has been pretty low key actually. After running some errands this mor...

Luxury online shopping

I'm no stranger when it comes to shopping for designer clothing online. I have to admit that I still enjoy browsing in stores, although the ease and convenience of buying online is something which continues to attract, not only myself, but millions of people every day. Adding an item to the shopping basket is as easy as a click of a mouse. Net-A Porter is the 'world's premier online luxury fashion destination' 1 . Net-a-Porter first opened by founder, Natalie Massenet, 14 years ago, back in the year 2000. Since then, it has remained one of the best online shopping destinations for high-end designer women's clothing and is it any wonder. Their packaging and customer service is faultless. While browsing Net-a-porter recently, I found the most adorable navy cotton-silk blend skirt by high-end designer Burberry London. Luckily, my size was still available, although marked 'low in stock', and with one simple click, the skirt was added to my shopping ca...
