Black & Navy









Who says you can't wear black with navy? Black & navy are two of my favourite colour combinations. They are perfect together in every way. I want to wear them more.

 What are your thoughts? Would you wear black & navy together?

 Today was a very relaxing day. After picking up dry cleaning and my birthday present, of which I cannot wait to show you, I spent the afternoon at Laurent Boulangerie-Patisserie, Albert Park. I treated myself to a gluten free cake (everything in moderation), which was the perfect choice to enjoy with a lovely pot of peppermint tea. The company was pretty awesome too. Mum and hubby joined me in this afternoon delight.

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. In the end we decided upon raspberry, strawberry, vanilla & mango! The morning was quite fresh, so I decided to wear a layer of silk/cashmere over my silk chiffon shirt. This magical blend always comes through when I'm in need of extra warmth and comfort. Olga De Polga

Melbourne based designer Olga de Polga  is renowned for their use of colour and vibrant patterns. I really enjoy adding a pop of colour when I style outfits, so if you love colour, you are bound to find something fabulous. On my recent visit, I picked up two pairs of Lillian pants, a new style to ODP, in both pink and caramel. These colours go so well with other pieces in my wardrobe. Style tip: I will not add anything to my wardrobe if it doesn't go with other pieces, so I am very particular when choosing a new piece to add to my collection. The cords fit really well, sitting at mid-waist and fall at the perfect length. The corduroy fabric is soft and feels so cosy, so perfect for Winter here in Melbourne!  Have you visited Olga de Polga? If so, what are your favourite pieces? Grace Kelly: Style Icon

Some of you may know already that I recently went on a country  girls' getaway with my mother to Bendigo to view the Grace Kelly: A Style Icon exhibition. I am so thrilled that I did! It was simply amazing.  The package I purchased was the Country Girls' Getaway, which included one nights accomadation at the City Centre Motel (4 star), breakfast, in-house Grace Kelly Movies, plus 2 x tickets to the exhibition. The special pack I received upon check-in, which included a terrific shopping and dining guide, special discounts and maps. The exhibition was held at the Bendigo Art Gallery. The session was timed by the hour to prevent the influx of visitors, which I felt worked really well. There was plenty of room and I didn't feel like I needed to hurry up, so instead, took my time, taking in every detail.
