60's mod

You know the saying, 'A change is sometimes as good as a holiday'? Well, I have been feeling for quite some time now, that I really need a change; a change of hairstyle, that is.

As you can see, I now have brand new bangs and I absolutely love them! It was the best thing I ever did and if you have been contemplating doing the same, I highly recommend that you do it too.

For Mother's Day, my husband and I invited our mums over for a seafood BBQ. The weather in Melbourne was actually really freezing today. In fact it was only 14 degrees Celsius! What this type of weather calls for is warm cashmere.

I bought this cashmere dress a couple of months ago from Eugenie Cashmere and I have been saving it for a rainy day. So it was the perfect companion to keep me warm!

I love bright colours and I especially love the colour-blocking in this dress, which is quite reminiscent of the mod-style dresses from the 60's.

Orange has made quite a come-back this season , which I think is fabulous! During the cooler months, a splash of Le orange brightens up grey skies.

How has your weekend been treating you? Have you been doing anything exciting of late? Next week, I will start writing student reports, which is always a long & arduous task. A weekend catching up with our friends will be the perfect reward for a busy week.

Please leave a comment below! I'd love to hear from you.

Yours in style,

Suzi x

What I'm wearing: Eugenie Cashmere dress, Repetto heels, Levante 50 denier black matt opaque tights.

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. In the end we decided upon raspberry, strawberry, vanilla & mango! The morning was quite fresh, so I decided to wear a layer of silk/cashmere over my silk chiffon shirt. This magical blend always comes through when I'm in need of extra warmth and comfort. This ensemble was the perfect match for my raspberry coloured skirt!  For a picnic, flats seemed like the perfect choice, because of their practicality. So I decided to bring a touch of mango to the gelati mix! These mustard coloured, patent leather ballet flats, are so chic and comfortable. They are one of my favourite pairs of Repetto ballet flats, purchased from the fabulous Alice & Deb at Treasurette. Check out

Olga De Polga

Melbourne based designer Olga de Polga  is renowned for their use of colour and vibrant patterns. I really enjoy adding a pop of colour when I style outfits, so if you love colour, you are bound to find something fabulous. On my recent visit, I picked up two pairs of Lillian pants, a new style to ODP, in both pink and caramel. These colours go so well with other pieces in my wardrobe. Style tip: I will not add anything to my wardrobe if it doesn't go with other pieces, so I am very particular when choosing a new piece to add to my collection. The cords fit really well, sitting at mid-waist and fall at the perfect length. The corduroy fabric is soft and feels so cosy, so perfect for Winter here in Melbourne!  Have you visited Olga de Polga? If so, what are your favourite pieces? If you haven't been in store yet, make sure you do so soon, because some styles are selling out really fast. Have a great rest of the week! Yours in style, Suzi x  What I'm Wearing ODP Lillian pants

Grace Kelly: Style Icon

Some of you may know already that I recently went on a country  girls' getaway with my mother to Bendigo to view the Grace Kelly: A Style Icon exhibition. I am so thrilled that I did! It was simply amazing.  The package I purchased was the Country Girls' Getaway, which included one nights accomadation at the City Centre Motel (4 star), breakfast, in-house Grace Kelly Movies, plus 2 x tickets to the exhibition. The special pack I received upon check-in, which included a terrific shopping and dining guide, special discounts and maps. The exhibition was held at the Bendigo Art Gallery. The session was timed by the hour to prevent the influx of visitors, which I felt worked really well. There was plenty of room and I didn't feel like I needed to hurry up, so instead, took my time, taking in every detail. I could have spent all day looking at every single minute detail of each and every one of the stunning gowns that adorned this beau
