Inbetween Days

I spent the other day catching up with family who live interstate. The weather turned quite nasty on their arrival, with huge wind storms sweeping many areas of Melbourne. 

When the weather hits 19 degrees Celsius in the middle of Summer, it makes you think a bit harder as to what to wear that's neither too hot nor too cold. 

I have a few short sleeved sweaters that are my go-to pieces for times like these. I either wear them on their own or layer them. My Ralph Lauren cable knit sweater looks amazing with a white shirt underneath.





I chose my 3/4 sleeved shirt because, at this time of the year, I refuse to wear a long sleeved one. It is meant to be summer after all! I like to wear it buttoned all the way up.
 





Of course, to finish off my casual outfit, I wore my trusty denim jeans. Being straight legged means they are super versatile. They look great with ballet flats, and in this case, tucked into boots. Yes, I gave in and wore my winter boots today! It was pretty chilly!!

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. Ballistic for Bally

I have always loved Bally , especially their shoes. They're made with the softest, luxurious leather I have ever worn. Bally were my first ever pair of high end designer shoes and they fit like a glove. So this post is going to be dedicated to one of the most prestigious design houses and their amazingly comfortable, chic shoes.  Here's some of my favourites from Bally's new S/S '12 collection: Which is your favourite? Olga De Polga

Melbourne based designer Olga de Polga  is renowned for their use of colour and vibrant patterns. I really enjoy adding a pop of colour when I style outfits, so if you love colour, you are bound to find something fabulous. On my recent visit, I picked up two pairs of Lillian pants, a new style to ODP, in both pink and caramel. These colours go so well with other pieces in my wardrobe. Style tip: I will not add anything to my wardrobe if it doesn't go with other pieces, so I am very particular when choosing a new piece to add to my collection. The cords fit really well, sitting at mid-waist and fall at the perfect length. The corduroy fabric is soft and feels so cosy, so perfect for Winter here in Melbourne!  Have you visited Olga de Polga? If so, what are your favourite pieces?
