white singlet

It's a Czech tradition in my family to celebrate Christmas Eve together. I wanted to wear something cool and comfortable, yet chic & stylish. The weather this day was hot, so I opted for my white rib singlet and paired it with a statement piece, my Yeojin Bae skirt.     White T-shirts and singlets can easily be dressed up and are fabulous items to have in your closet. Each season it pays to replace those that no longer look so crisp and white. Both are fabulous items for Christmas sales shopping! I decided to accessorise with pearls once again. I always feel glamorous when I am wearing them! It must be the Coco Chanel in me!! I am wearing one of my favourite pairs of  Repetto pumps. The cute Mary Jane pumps suit the look I was after. The suede fabric complements the silk texture of the skirt.      What are your new year's eve plans? We're having friends & family over for drinks and a seafood BBQ. I can't w

new girl in town

Some of you may or may not have heard of Sara Phillips. If you have, you know why I would be writing this blog, and if you haven't you ought to check her out on this link . Melbourne stockists include Hokey Curator and Alice Euphemia.  Short Paper Bag Skirt I first heard about Sara Philips through a stylist friend. When I saw Sara's garments, a chill ran down my spine. Her Autumn/Winter 2011 Unbridled collection blew me away. My favourite pieces were her silk printed shirts. I could tell this would be a long lasting love affair!   AW 2011 Unbridled Collection I don't yet own any of Sara's garments, but I have no doubt I will some day soon. Her online store looks fabulously chic! Here are some of my favourite looks from her High Summer 2011/2012 Natural Law collection. I am passionate about supporting local and Australian designers. If we keep purchasing from chain departments stores, these independent designers will cease to exist! Be

raspberry sorbet

Over the past couple of days, I have enjoyed catching up with friends for Christmas. It's been wonderful, relaxing, sitting around and sharing our stories from the year gone by. One of the outfits I wore out to a casual pub dinner, was my most treasured Yeojin Bae skirt in a beautiful raspberry colour, paired with a baby pink sweater.   The weather in Melbourne has been fairly warm. However, the evenings become quite cool and indoors is usually air-conditioned. I found the perfect sweater for the occasion; my Ralph Lauren, silk & cashmere blended short sleeved number.   Together, this ensemble reminds me of sweet raspberry sorbet; the sweet vibrant colour of the shantung silk skirt, combined with the soft, pastel shades of the baby pink sweater.  I hope you all had a beautiful Christmas and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Take care over the holiday

gold & silver

I do admit to being a bit of a makeup junkie. One of my favourite go-to makeup brands is Estee Lauder. Back in May this year, I was lucky enough to get my hands on the very last limited edition Pure Colour eyeshadow palette in Wild Violet. This palette is perfect for the festive season as it features five eyeshadows which contain shimmery shadows in gold, silver and deep purple, as well as matt shadows in taupe and fawn. Pure Colour 04 Wild Violet Earlier on in the week, I attended a special graduation ceremony for the grade sixes at the primary school where I work. I decided to go for a more celebratory look, featuring gold & silver eyeshadows. I used my trusty Lancome Le Crayon kohl eyeliner in noir and the fabulously intense faux cils mascara by Chantecaille, also in black. I cannot live without this mascara. It's the creme de la creme!   As my eyes were quite intense, I left the lips fairly nude and chose to wear my Estee Lauder Signature l

My Miracle Cream

I have tried a multitude of over the counter and salon/spa beauty creams over the years. Out of all of them, there is only one beauty cream that has been able to bring a youthful glow back to my skin. This miracle cream is the one and only Creme de La Mer.   Creme de La Mer contains a miracle broth that really works. I have read a lot of reviews on this cream. There's a lot of scepticism going on around the traps, so I thought I'd try it for myself. I picked up a sample from the La Mer counter at David Jones, Chadstone. The sample I was given was the heavier textured creme in a small sized pot. This creme lasted 2-3 months. Now that's value for money! Creme de La Mer is a high-end cosmetic product, sold exclusively at David Jones and online on the La Mer website . Whilst it is a very expensive product, it works and lasts months. I was lucky enough to receive a jar as a gift from my generous husband for our anniversary this year. I have been using the crem

sweater girl

I consider myself to be a sweater girl as I feel most comfortable in sweaters. I especially love cashmere and one of my all time favourites is my Park Vogel sweater. Vanessa Vogel is the design director of Park Vogel and is based in Los Angeles.   Park Vogel Logo This cashmere sweater is a lighter weight yarn, featuring a feminine self-tie bow and bell sleeves. The tappered band at the waist flatters the figure.     Because this sweater has been made from a lighter ply of cashmere, it's very transeasonal. I enjoy wearing it all year round! What transeasonal item do you keep coming back to time and time again?  Yours in style, Suzi x What I'm Wearing: Park Vogel 100% cashmere sweater, Habitual high-waisted jeans, Repetto Norma Decol AD suede/patent leather flats in cuba-donald. pearl earrings (gifted), Seiko gold watch, Pandora 14ct charm bracelet.
