Anna Thomas S/S '13

There's a designer who ticks all of the boxes for me as far as tailoring to my own personal style goes, and that's Australian designer, Anna Thomas.

Having marked a decade in Australian fashion design this year, Anna Thomas has every right to celebrate. This talented designer has perfected the art of mixing & matching garments effortlessly together, in complimentary colourways. Anna's attention to detail and tailoring is impeccable.

What I love the most about Anna Thomas' Spring/Summer '13 collection is the mix of prints and textures worn together. There's something chic about pairing stripes with prints. The colours are vibrant and perfect for the warmer weather. I adore Anna's use of colourways, my favourites being lemongrass and nautical navy/white/aqua (as pictured).

I'm more for the classics than the trends, I really appreciate it when a designer can work classics into contemporary pieces for the modern woman of today.

The only downside to this collection is that, because I love everything, I'm going to find it hard pressed to choose what to buy!

What's your favourite look?

Hope you've had a great week so far.
What have you been up to?

Yours in style

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. In the end we decided upon raspberry, strawberry, vanilla & mango! The morning was quite fresh, so I decided to wear a layer of silk/cashmere over my silk chiffon shirt. This magical blend always comes through when I'm in need of extra warmth and comfort. This ensemble was the perfect match for my raspberry coloured skirt!  For a picnic, flats seemed like the perfect choice, because of their practicality. So I decided to bring a touch of mango to the gelati mix! These mustard coloured, patent leather ballet flats, are so chic and comfortable. They are one of my favourite pairs of Repetto ballet flats, purchased from the fabulous Alice & Deb at Treasurette. Check out

Ballistic for Bally

I have always loved Bally , especially their shoes. They're made with the softest, luxurious leather I have ever worn. Bally were my first ever pair of high end designer shoes and they fit like a glove. So this post is going to be dedicated to one of the most prestigious design houses and their amazingly comfortable, chic shoes.  Here's some of my favourites from Bally's new S/S '12 collection: Which is your favourite? I love the classic black Otty-Crest pump and the teal and navy Palda wedge sandals. Have a great week! Mine will be an interesting one. I finish teaching for the term this coming Wednesday and go on a staff retreat to Creswick for the rest of the week. I'm looking forward to breathing in the crisp, clean country air!
