A tale of the print pants

There's a little bit of a tale behind these print pants. I was looking around the shops at the designer end of Westfield Doncaster, when I spied in the corner of my eye, a pop of colour hanging on the racks at MaxMara

Now, when something takes my eye, I have to investigate. I picked up the mustard-coloured, dot print pants and sighed with disappointment when I read the price on the tag. Oh well, I guess I would have to say my sweet goodbyes.

Months later, I go browsing, and low and behold, the same pair of pants catches my eye. I walk in to the store, read the price tag and breathe a sigh of relief. They were on sale! I try on these babies and purchase them. The rest they say is (fashion) history.

I love them so much and they are so comfy that I could wear them every day. But I don't. Instead, I savour them, and wait for that perfect moment, which just happened to be today.

Have you a tale to tell about a piece of clothing in your closet. I'd love to hear all about it, so leave a comment below. x

Hope you're enjoying the weekend so far. I'm looking forward to going shopping tomorrow. I've run out of my favourite Dior lipstick.

Yours in style.

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. In the end we decided upon raspberry, strawberry, vanilla & mango! The morning was quite fresh, so I decided to wear a layer of silk/cashmere over my silk chiffon shirt. This magical blend always comes through when I'm in need of extra warmth and comfort. This ensemble was the perfect match for my raspberry coloured skirt!  For a picnic, flats seemed like the perfect choice, because of their practicality. So I decided to bring a touch of mango to the gelati mix! These mustard coloured, patent leather ballet flats, are so chic and comfortable. They are one of my favourite pairs of Repetto ballet flats, purchased from the fabulous Alice & Deb at Treasurette. Check out

Ballistic for Bally

I have always loved Bally , especially their shoes. They're made with the softest, luxurious leather I have ever worn. Bally were my first ever pair of high end designer shoes and they fit like a glove. So this post is going to be dedicated to one of the most prestigious design houses and their amazingly comfortable, chic shoes.  Here's some of my favourites from Bally's new S/S '12 collection: Which is your favourite? I love the classic black Otty-Crest pump and the teal and navy Palda wedge sandals. Have a great week! Mine will be an interesting one. I finish teaching for the term this coming Wednesday and go on a staff retreat to Creswick for the rest of the week. I'm looking forward to breathing in the crisp, clean country air!
