I love miu mui

My absolute favourite international designer has to be mui mui. I find myself falling in love again and again, with each new season collection. Muiccia Prada's label is fun, feminine and fabulous!

We're really lucky to have a mui mui store in Melbourne actually. For anyone who has ever been to Chadstone Shopping Centre, you would know it is the fashion Mecca for anyone looking for high-end designer clothing and accessories. Every single time I go to Chadstone, without fail, I pay a special visit to mui mui.

I know mui mui garments, shoes, and accessories are on the more expensive side, but a girl can dream right? There's just something extremely appealing to me that keeps me coming back season after season. Now to save up for a piece to call my own some day...

  1. Suzi thank you for your extensive presentation of one of my favorite designers Mui Mui. A visit to Chadstone shop centre sees me without fail visiting the store to see her latest creations. Brilliant. And thanks also for your Mothers Day message. Xo

French nautical

Ilove stripes, especially navy & white. It's very Parisian chic! My favourite Breton striped cashmere/silk blend sweater has been the absolute best investment of all time.

There are trends that come and go and then there are classics. I tend to steer towards the classics. The striped boatneck sweater is yet another timeless piece which should live in everyone's closet.

I stumbled across some old pics of movie starlets wearing nautical stripes, such as my favourite style icon, Audrey Hepburn. Years have passed and the striped sweater still looks as fabulous as it did back in its heyday.

This sweater I'm wearing is by Australian label Bezoar. They seem to have fallen off the radar at present, so I hope that in the future I can purchase another one like this!

This is my go-to outfit for comfort and style when I need to run some errands. What's yours?
Hoping that your weekend was fabulous and your week is even better!

Caring for your Woollen Sweaters

It always irks me whenever a sales consultant tells me that you cannot  hand wash woollens and to follow the directions on the label. For years, I have been hand washing my knitwear and ignored the care label reading 'Dry clean'. The majority of my sweaters are made by high end designers, such as Ralph Lauren Collection and Burberry, and because they have been taken care of, still look brand new.

Here's what I do to keep my sweaters looking fabulous. If the sweater is 100% cashmere you need to fill a small tub of lukewarm water using a small amount of Wool Mix. I ALWAYS use Martha Gardner, Eucalyptus. I wash the sweater by gently moving the garment through the water and gently squeezing the sweater, but never pulling or tugging. Then I leave the sweater in the water to soak for about five minutes (not always needed-do skip this step if the garment is not heavily soiled). Afterwards, I rinse the sweater in lukewarm water until the water comes out clear. Do not lift the swea…

Update on Ralph Lauren in Australia

Most of you guys know how very fond I am of Ralph Lauren clothing, particularly the runway womenswear Collection label. I have published multiple posts showcasing this iconic American brand. The impeccable quality, fit and style of the Collection label is second to none-the creme de la creme, shall we say. I think the Ralph Lauren Purple Label for women, now named Collection, has the best slim fit cashmere sweaters on the luxury designer market today. I own several pieces. But now that's about to change.

Why, you ask? Because Ralph Lauren Melbourne, Australia, is no longer going to carry the luxury Collection label. That's right folks. You heard it right.

On a recent birthday stay in Melbourne earlier on in May, I visited the Ralph Lauren's Flagship Store on the Paris end of Collins Street. I had saved up my hard earned money to purchase another slim fit 100% cashmere sweater in Lux Tan. I looked around in the store eager with anticipation, hoping to find the sweater in qu…
