My top ten must-haves!

Fashion fads come & go, but real style stands the test of time. As mentioned earlier, I'm one for classics versus trends. I love buying clothing that lasts and is therefore timeless.

I have put myself up for the challenge of finding classic pieces using Audrey Hepburn as an example. Here's my list of the top ten must-haves!!

1. Man's style classic buttoned down white shirt

2. LBD-Little Black Dress

3. A-Line dress/skirt

4. Trench Coat (Burberry is the original)

5. Black turtleneck sweater (Preferably cashmere)

6. Leopard print (one piece at a time/NEVER more than one!!)

7. Silk Scarf (Preferably Hermes)

8. Ballet Flats

9. Pearls (Earrings/necklace)

10. Investment handbag (look to Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Prada for classic styles)

What's your favourite out of my top ten must-haves?

Enjoy your weekend and, whatever you do, make sure you do it in style!

By the way, this is my 50th blog post!! I'd like to thank you all for your continued support. I look forward to sharing many more exciting posts with you in the future!

Yours in style,

Suzi x

  11. Oh Suzi - I just got your question about LMFF accreditation. Mine came through late Friday but I usually apply as a photographer! I think that your best bet might be to call up on Monday to discuss with the relevant contacts (on the media accreditation page). HTHs and am sure I'll see you soon!

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. In the end we decided upon raspberry, strawberry, vanilla & mango! The morning was quite fresh, so I decided to wear a layer of silk/cashmere over my silk chiffon shirt. This magical blend always comes through when I'm in need of extra warmth and comfort. This ensemble was the perfect match for my raspberry coloured skirt!  For a picnic, flats seemed like the perfect choice, because of their practicality. So I decided to bring a touch of mango to the gelati mix! These mustard coloured, patent leather ballet flats, are so chic and comfortable. They are one of my favourite pairs of Repetto ballet flats, purchased from the fabulous Alice & Deb at Treasurette. Check out

Olga De Polga

Melbourne based designer Olga de Polga  is renowned for their use of colour and vibrant patterns. I really enjoy adding a pop of colour when I style outfits, so if you love colour, you are bound to find something fabulous. On my recent visit, I picked up two pairs of Lillian pants, a new style to ODP, in both pink and caramel. These colours go so well with other pieces in my wardrobe. Style tip: I will not add anything to my wardrobe if it doesn't go with other pieces, so I am very particular when choosing a new piece to add to my collection. The cords fit really well, sitting at mid-waist and fall at the perfect length. The corduroy fabric is soft and feels so cosy, so perfect for Winter here in Melbourne!  Have you visited Olga de Polga? If so, what are your favourite pieces? If you haven't been in store yet, make sure you do so soon, because some styles are selling out really fast. Have a great rest of the week! Yours in style, Suzi x  What I'm Wearing ODP Lillian pants

Grace Kelly: Style Icon

Some of you may know already that I recently went on a country  girls' getaway with my mother to Bendigo to view the Grace Kelly: A Style Icon exhibition. I am so thrilled that I did! It was simply amazing.  The package I purchased was the Country Girls' Getaway, which included one nights accomadation at the City Centre Motel (4 star), breakfast, in-house Grace Kelly Movies, plus 2 x tickets to the exhibition. The special pack I received upon check-in, which included a terrific shopping and dining guide, special discounts and maps. The exhibition was held at the Bendigo Art Gallery. The session was timed by the hour to prevent the influx of visitors, which I felt worked really well. There was plenty of room and I didn't feel like I needed to hurry up, so instead, took my time, taking in every detail. I could have spent all day looking at every single minute detail of each and every one of the stunning gowns that adorned this beau
