Rewind to NYE 2014

For the past couple of years, my husband and I have enjoyed spending New Year's Eve with family and friends, but this year, we decided to celebrate with "just the two of us". We went to a beautiful restaurant called Clover Cottage which is located in Berwick. The ambiance, service and food was impeccable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to you and we will definitely be returning there ourselves, sometime in the future.

Between the scrumptious appetizer, exquisite entree, scrumptious soup, delicious carvery and mouth-watering desserts, top-shelf G.H MUMM french champagne and a Fluffy Duck cocktail, this by far was one of the more memorable New Year's Eve I have ever had.

I wore a dress by Australian designer, Ellery, winner of the 2014 Elle Style Awards Designer of the Year Award.  The fabrics used in the dress is a blend of silk/satin and feels absolutely divine. I love the silhouette and drape and the fact there are also pockets. So chic!

This dress was a Christmas gift from my husband and was purchased at one of my favourite boutiques, Paloma Bleu. Paloma Bleu stock a wide variety of Australian and New Zealand designers, such as cashmere label, Banjo & Matilda, Bec & Bridge, Camilla and Marc and Karen Walker along with a few other international labels, such as Parisian label, Majestic and New York label, Equipment.

How did you ring in the New Year and, most importantly, what did you wear?

Yours in style,

Suzi x

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. In the end we decided upon raspberry, strawberry, vanilla & mango! The morning was quite fresh, so I decided to wear a layer of silk/cashmere over my silk chiffon shirt. This magical blend always comes through when I'm in need of extra warmth and comfort. This ensemble was the perfect match for my raspberry coloured skirt!  For a picnic, flats seemed like the perfect choice, because of their practicality. So I decided to bring a touch of mango to the gelati mix! These mustard coloured, patent leather ballet flats, are so chic and comfortable. They are one of my favourite pairs of Repetto ballet flats, purchased from the fabulous Alice & Deb at Treasurette. Check out

Ballistic for Bally

I have always loved Bally , especially their shoes. They're made with the softest, luxurious leather I have ever worn. Bally were my first ever pair of high end designer shoes and they fit like a glove. So this post is going to be dedicated to one of the most prestigious design houses and their amazingly comfortable, chic shoes.  Here's some of my favourites from Bally's new S/S '12 collection: Which is your favourite? I love the classic black Otty-Crest pump and the teal and navy Palda wedge sandals. Have a great week! Mine will be an interesting one. I finish teaching for the term this coming Wednesday and go on a staff retreat to Creswick for the rest of the week. I'm looking forward to breathing in the crisp, clean country air! Olga De Polga

Melbourne based designer Olga de Polga  is renowned for their use of colour and vibrant patterns. I really enjoy adding a pop of colour when I style outfits, so if you love colour, you are bound to find something fabulous. On my recent visit, I picked up two pairs of Lillian pants, a new style to ODP, in both pink and caramel. These colours go so well with other pieces in my wardrobe. Style tip: I will not add anything to my wardrobe if it doesn't go with other pieces, so I am very particular when choosing a new piece to add to my collection. The cords fit really well, sitting at mid-waist and fall at the perfect length. The corduroy fabric is soft and feels so cosy, so perfect for Winter here in Melbourne!  Have you visited Olga de Polga? If so, what are your favourite pieces? If you haven't been in store yet, make sure you do so soon, because some styles are selling out really fast. Have a great rest of the week! Yours in style, Suzi x  What I'm Wearing ODP Lillian pants
