Christmas Day 2014

I can't believe Christmas has come and gone already. I always love this special time of the year. It's so wonderful to catch up with family and friends over beautiful cuisine and refreshments. I also love giving gifts, especially wrapping them with coordinating papers, ribbons and gift cards.

On Christmas Day, I wore my new Burberry London silk bow blouse, which was a Christmas gift I purchased for myself from Chadstone, the Fashion Capital. I paired this blouse with my navy Burberry London A-line skirt and nude heels by Paris label, Repetto.

My husband and I enjoyed spending time with our mothers on Christmas Day and enjoyed a beautiful selection of traditional Christmas fare, which had been prepared by my mother-in-law. I even managed to fit in some delicious gluten-free pudding, brandy sauce, custard and ice-cream too! It's something I look forward to every Christmas.

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. In the end we decided upon raspberry, strawberry, vanilla & mango! The morning was quite fresh, so I decided to wear a layer of silk/cashmere over my silk chiffon shirt. This magical blend always comes through when I'm in need of extra warmth and comfort. This ensemble was the perfect match for my raspberry coloured skirt! For a picnic, flats seemed like the perfect choice, because of their practicality. So I decided to bring a touch of mango to the gelati mix! Ballistic for Bally

I have always loved Bally , especially their shoes. They're made with the softest, luxurious leather I have ever worn. Bally were my first ever pair of high end designer shoes and they fit like a glove. So this post is going to be dedicated to one of the most prestigious design houses and their amazingly comfortable, chic shoes. Here's some of my favourites from Bally's new S/S '12 collection: Which is your favourite? I love the classic black Otty-Crest pump and the teal and navy Palda wedge sandals. Have a great week! Paint Spot

I've always loved dresses with spots, ever since I spotted Julia Roberts from the movie Pretty Woman, wearing one. They're so feminine and pretty. A couple of months ago, while perusing Karen Walker 's Spring/Summer collection online, I eyed this paint spot dress and couldn't resist it. I decided I would wear it on Christmas Day, rain, hail or shine. I was so lucky Melbourne's weather was behaving itself that day. Lucky for me! I cannot believe Christmas has been and gone already and now we're into the new year. Over the festive season, a wonderful time was had, catching up with family and my closest friends. We made the traditional roast with all of the trimmings and it was such a perfect day. Christmas has to be my favourite time of the year. How about you? What did you do?
