Pretty in Plaid

I have enjoyed wearing this skirt immensely over the past couple of years. This pretty plaid number is by Swedish Designer, Maria Westerlind. These days, Maria prefers designing her range of coats and dresses, so sadly for me, their won't be a second skirt to add to my collection any time soon.

I purchased this Maria Westerlind plaid skirt at Diva Scandinavia, a boutique specialising in designer garments from Scandinavia, just as the name implies. The customer service is impeccable. Nestled along the busy sea-side suburb of Port Melbourne, I would highly recommend adding this boutique on your 'to visit' list, if you haven't done so already.

This pretty plaid skirt has primary colours of red, navy, yellow, which coordinate really well with many pieces in my existing wardrobe. I have also styled it with a Breton navy and white silk/cashmere 3/4 sleeved sweater, for some French chic (seen here)!

I really love the fact this skirt has pockets. Since I'm a cold-bod, my hands freeze during the colder months. But not with this skirt! Made from a high percentage of wool, it's super warm and being fully lined, the itch factor is completely eliminated.

I have styled this skirt with my new By Malene Birger grey cashmere sweater. Versatility is a key factor in every purchase I make, and this sweater is no exception. You may have seen me wearing it with jeans in a recent post (seen here & here).

My weekend has been very productive, as well as relaxing. It's so important to have a happy balance in life. How was your weekend? Did you get up to much mischief?

Have a great week!

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. In the end we decided upon raspberry, strawberry, vanilla & mango! The morning was quite fresh, so I decided to wear a layer of silk/cashmere over my silk chiffon shirt. This magical blend always comes through when I'm in need of extra warmth and comfort. This ensemble was the perfect match for my raspberry coloured skirt!  For a picnic, flats seemed like the perfect choice, because of their practicality. So I decided to bring a touch of mango to the gelati mix! These mustard coloured, patent leather ballet flats, are so chic and comfortable. They are one of my favourite pairs of Repetto ballet flats, purchased from the fabulous Alice & Deb at Treasurette. Check out

Olga De Polga

Melbourne based designer Olga de Polga  is renowned for their use of colour and vibrant patterns. I really enjoy adding a pop of colour when I style outfits, so if you love colour, you are bound to find something fabulous. On my recent visit, I picked up two pairs of Lillian pants, a new style to ODP, in both pink and caramel. These colours go so well with other pieces in my wardrobe. Style tip: I will not add anything to my wardrobe if it doesn't go with other pieces, so I am very particular when choosing a new piece to add to my collection. The cords fit really well, sitting at mid-waist and fall at the perfect length. The corduroy fabric is soft and feels so cosy, so perfect for Winter here in Melbourne!  Have you visited Olga de Polga? If so, what are your favourite pieces? If you haven't been in store yet, make sure you do so soon, because some styles are selling out really fast. Have a great rest of the week! Yours in style, Suzi x  What I'm Wearing ODP Lillian pants

Grace Kelly: Style Icon

Some of you may know already that I recently went on a country  girls' getaway with my mother to Bendigo to view the Grace Kelly: A Style Icon exhibition. I am so thrilled that I did! It was simply amazing.  The package I purchased was the Country Girls' Getaway, which included one nights accomadation at the City Centre Motel (4 star), breakfast, in-house Grace Kelly Movies, plus 2 x tickets to the exhibition. The special pack I received upon check-in, which included a terrific shopping and dining guide, special discounts and maps. The exhibition was held at the Bendigo Art Gallery. The session was timed by the hour to prevent the influx of visitors, which I felt worked really well. There was plenty of room and I didn't feel like I needed to hurry up, so instead, took my time, taking in every detail. I could have spent all day looking at every single minute detail of each and every one of the stunning gowns that adorned this beau
