The perfect gift

I knew I wanted to buy myself a little something after my stint in hospital. I kept the thought in the back of my mind and I promised myself that as soon as I was fully recovered, I'd go shopping! So I did.

One of my favourite shopping destinations is Westfield Doncaster because it is home to a few of my favourite high-end designers and boutiques, such as Ralph Lauren, Gant, Max & Co, Max Mara, Christensen Copenhagen and Bally

I knew that there were sales going on and so it seemed like the perfect time to shop for a little something just perfect for me.

While looking in Christensen Copenhagen, I found a grey cashmere sweater by By Malene Birger. Malene Birger is an award winning Danish designer, formerly of Day Birger et Mikkelson. The price had been reduced and was within my price range. Perfect! So I tried it on and fell in love with its buttery soft texture and loose, comfy style.

I had been needing to purchase a few pieces that I could wear on the weekend for day and be able to dress up for a casual night out as well. Many of the sweaters I already own are quite tight fitting, shorter in length and hug my silhouette. This sweater is loose fitting and therefore more comfortable to wear. It does taper in at the lower waist, which flatters the figure. I'd say this style could possibly suit most body types.

There's a label sewn onto the back of the garment which reads "For yourself or the man in your life". Isn't that sweet? The fact that this sweater is a boyfriend style means that is is quite possible for your man to wear your sweater too. It's a cute concept, your man borrowing your sweater. Usually it's the other way around!

So there you have it! My little gift, to keep me cosy and warm during the season of Winter. I can also see myself wearing the sweater during cold Spring nights as well due to the fact it's 2 ply, making it very transeasonal.

Anyway guys, I hope you have had a fabulous time over the weekend. Have a wonderful week and remember that whatever you do, make sure you do it in style.

Yours in style,

Suzi x

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. In the end we decided upon raspberry, strawberry, vanilla & mango! The morning was quite fresh, so I decided to wear a layer of silk/cashmere over my silk chiffon shirt. This magical blend always comes through when I'm in need of extra warmth and comfort. This ensemble was the perfect match for my raspberry coloured skirt!  For a picnic, flats seemed like the perfect choice, because of their practicality. So I decided to bring a touch of mango to the gelati mix! These mustard coloured, patent leather ballet flats, are so chic and comfortable. They are one of my favourite pairs of Repetto ballet flats, purchased from the fabulous Alice & Deb at Treasurette. Check out

I love miu mui

My absolute favourite international designer has to be mui mui . I find myself falling in love again and again, with each new season collection. Muiccia Prada's label is fun, feminine and fabulous!  We're really lucky to have a mui mui store in Melbourne actually. For anyone who has ever been to Chadstone Shopping Centre, you would know it is the fashion Mecca for anyone looking for high-end designer clothing and accessories. Every single time I go to Chadstone, without fail, I pay a special visit to mui mui. I know mui mui garments, shoes, and accessories are on the more expensive side, but a girl can dream right? There's just something extremely appealing to me that keeps me coming back season after season. Now to save up for a piece to call my own some day...            Do you have a high-end international designer who you really enjoy? Who is it and what makes them so appealing to you? Enjoy t

sandy liang fall/winter '22

It's been some time between posts as I have been waiting for something to inspire me. So when one of my favourite designers, Sandy Liang, released the look book from her new Fall/Winter '22 collection, I was so excited, that I decided to edit these looks into ten of my favourites. Sandy Liang stays true to her aesthetic each season. Like previous collections, there are hints of Marie Antoinette and Ballet. The way Sandy Liang fuses the two together is amazing. I am drawn to anything to do with ballet, so, of course, I love this collection! My favourite pieces are the cotton dresses with bow detailing, the trench coat dress, camel corduroy skirt pants and layered knitwear. So wearable, but whimsical in a very grown-up kind of way. Pure genius! Can't wait for the collection to land in Australia. Which are your favourites? Yours in style,  Suzi x Photos by  @zorasicher  c/o Sandy Liang NY
