Luxury online shopping

I'm no stranger when it comes to shopping for designer clothing online. I have to admit that I still enjoy browsing in stores, although the ease and convenience of buying online is something which continues to attract, not only myself, but millions of people every day. Adding an item to the shopping basket is as easy as a click of a mouse.

Net-A Porter is the 'world's premier online luxury fashion destination' 1. Net-a-Porter first opened by founder, Natalie Massenet, 14 years ago, back in the year 2000. Since then, it has remained one of the best online shopping destinations for high-end designer women's clothing and is it any wonder. Their packaging and customer service is faultless.

While browsing Net-a-porter recently, I found the most adorable navy cotton-silk blend skirt by high-end designer Burberry London. Luckily, my size was still available, although marked 'low in stock', and with one simple click, the skirt was added to my shopping cart.

I was happy to discover that shipping was complimentary and the item in question was shipped quickly and received at my end within the specified time. Once I held the box in my red hot little hands, I couldn't wait to open it. Inside the normal brown cardboard box, was the most chic, matte black box, embossed with 'Net-a-Porter' and wrapped with a stunning black and white ribbon.

On opening the box, I was surprised to see a cute, little gift bag, containing a measurement guide and tape, which will be utilised during my next purchase. Underneath the gift bag, was my gorgeous new Burberry skirt. The sizing, colour and style was as described on the garment specifications.

After trying on the garment, I was elated to find that it fits me perfectly! I credit Net-a-Porter for including the garment's measurements on their website. I only wish more online sites would follow suit, as knowing the actual sizing at the time of purchase, takes away the doubt associated with not being able to actually try the garment on.

Net-a-porter can add yet another satisfied cutomer to their list.

I'm looking forward to showing you the numerous ways I can style my Burberry London skirt in future posts.

Well, as you know, holidays have come and gone and I am now back at work teaching. This weekend has been relaxing so far, which has meant I can recharge my batteries in preparation for yet another busy week.

Take care until next time!

Yours in style,

Suzi x

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. In the end we decided upon raspberry, strawberry, vanilla & mango! The morning was quite fresh, so I decided to wear a layer of silk/cashmere over my silk chiffon shirt. This magical blend always comes through when I'm in need of extra warmth and comfort. This ensemble was the perfect match for my raspberry coloured skirt!  For a picnic, flats seemed like the perfect choice, because of their practicality. So I decided to bring a touch of mango to the gelati mix! These mustard coloured, patent leather ballet flats, are so chic and comfortable. They are one of my favourite pairs of Repetto ballet flats, purchased from the fabulous Alice & Deb at Treasurette. Check out

Ballistic for Bally

I have always loved Bally , especially their shoes. They're made with the softest, luxurious leather I have ever worn. Bally were my first ever pair of high end designer shoes and they fit like a glove. So this post is going to be dedicated to one of the most prestigious design houses and their amazingly comfortable, chic shoes.  Here's some of my favourites from Bally's new S/S '12 collection: Which is your favourite? I love the classic black Otty-Crest pump and the teal and navy Palda wedge sandals. Have a great week! Mine will be an interesting one. I finish teaching for the term this coming Wednesday and go on a staff retreat to Creswick for the rest of the week. I'm looking forward to breathing in the crisp, clean country air! Olga De Polga

Melbourne based designer Olga de Polga  is renowned for their use of colour and vibrant patterns. I really enjoy adding a pop of colour when I style outfits, so if you love colour, you are bound to find something fabulous. On my recent visit, I picked up two pairs of Lillian pants, a new style to ODP, in both pink and caramel. These colours go so well with other pieces in my wardrobe. Style tip: I will not add anything to my wardrobe if it doesn't go with other pieces, so I am very particular when choosing a new piece to add to my collection. The cords fit really well, sitting at mid-waist and fall at the perfect length. The corduroy fabric is soft and feels so cosy, so perfect for Winter here in Melbourne!  Have you visited Olga de Polga? If so, what are your favourite pieces? If you haven't been in store yet, make sure you do so soon, because some styles are selling out really fast. Have a great rest of the week! Yours in style, Suzi x  What I'm Wearing ODP Lillian pants
