The Rachel Zoe Project

I am one to tell you that I don't often watch TV. Most evenings, you'll find me on my laptop, surfing the Net, using various forms of social media, including my blog, Facebook and Twitter. Yes, I'm hooked! Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like TV, it's just that it has to take something pretty special to get me to stand up and take notice. As was the case with The Rachel Zoe Project.

The Rachel Zoe Project began in 2008. It showcases the talented Zoe and her life living in New York as a stylist to the stars. The episode which I viewed was from the fourth series, which premiered on September 6th, 2011. Well, it's better late than never!

Discovered in my very own lounge room just last night, I enjoyed every aspect of The Rachel Zoe Project. From Zoe's amazing eye for detail, her own perpective on life as a personal stylist to the stars, to her fabulous style and the beautiful garments, shoes and accessories she gets to play with.  I could go on...

Rachel Zoe really does have effortless style. I have selected some of my favourite looks. I especially love the look of a tailored jacket/blazer with jeans for instant weekend chic.

Which look is your favourite?

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Yours in style,

Suzi x

    1. Hi janine, thanks for your comment.
People are all entitled to their own opinions about whether or not someone is too skinny, too fat, etc.., but at the end of the day, we are all human beings and deserve respect. It's a such a shame some people cannot see beyond this and instead see the amazing talent that lies therein instead.

    2. I totally agree, I wonder how it makes her feel when she sees all that on her FB page, she must be really thick skinned to rise above it. People can be so cruel.

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. In the end we decided upon raspberry, strawberry, vanilla & mango! The morning was quite fresh, so I decided to wear a layer of silk/cashmere over my silk chiffon shirt. This magical blend always comes through when I'm in need of extra warmth and comfort. This ensemble was the perfect match for my raspberry coloured skirt!  For a picnic, flats seemed like the perfect choice, because of their practicality. So I decided to bring a touch of mango to the gelati mix! These mustard coloured, patent leather ballet flats, are so chic and comfortable. They are one of my favourite pairs of Repetto ballet flats, purchased from the fabulous Alice & Deb at Treasurette. Check out

Ballistic for Bally

I have always loved Bally , especially their shoes. They're made with the softest, luxurious leather I have ever worn. Bally were my first ever pair of high end designer shoes and they fit like a glove. So this post is going to be dedicated to one of the most prestigious design houses and their amazingly comfortable, chic shoes.  Here's some of my favourites from Bally's new S/S '12 collection: Which is your favourite? I love the classic black Otty-Crest pump and the teal and navy Palda wedge sandals. Have a great week! Mine will be an interesting one. I finish teaching for the term this coming Wednesday and go on a staff retreat to Creswick for the rest of the week. I'm looking forward to breathing in the crisp, clean country air! Olga De Polga

Melbourne based designer Olga de Polga  is renowned for their use of colour and vibrant patterns. I really enjoy adding a pop of colour when I style outfits, so if you love colour, you are bound to find something fabulous. On my recent visit, I picked up two pairs of Lillian pants, a new style to ODP, in both pink and caramel. These colours go so well with other pieces in my wardrobe. Style tip: I will not add anything to my wardrobe if it doesn't go with other pieces, so I am very particular when choosing a new piece to add to my collection. The cords fit really well, sitting at mid-waist and fall at the perfect length. The corduroy fabric is soft and feels so cosy, so perfect for Winter here in Melbourne!  Have you visited Olga de Polga? If so, what are your favourite pieces? If you haven't been in store yet, make sure you do so soon, because some styles are selling out really fast. Have a great rest of the week! Yours in style, Suzi x  What I'm Wearing ODP Lillian pants
