Missoni

Anyone who is into fashion knows all about Missoni.  Missoni pride themselves as being a high-end luxury Italian designer, world renowned for their divine colourful zig-zag patterned garments. A-listers, celebs and fashionistas alike, croon over Missoni's new collections as they make their way down the runway each season. With that in mind, if it were possible to live in just one garment, I would choose to wear my new Missoni dress, from the M Missoni fall 2013 collection. It's hands down, my most treasured piece in my wardrobe. What's your most treasured piece in your wardrobe? Please leave a comment telling me all about it! I love receiving comments from you.   Wishing those of you living in Australia, a very happy Australia Day for tomorrow, 26th January. We'll be enjoying a traditional BBQ lunch with friends which we're really looking forward to. What are your plans? Don't forget to follow me on Twitter and instagram.  Yours in style, Suzi x ...

2014

Happy New year to you, beautiful people. Can you believe that we're into the middle of January already? It feels like it was just yesterday when we were out celebrating New Year's. New Year's Eve has always been a rather special time of the year for me and because of this, I always make sure I wear something that makes me feel fabulous. When I spotted this gorgeous coral number at Diva Scandinavia , I knew it would be perfect for a night of celebrations.  Nights here in Melbourne can get a little cool, so I found the perfect little black jacket, or LBJ, to pop on when I start to feel the chill. I've worn it with other dresses so it's proving to be an incredibly versatile piece. You may wish to add one to your list of 'must haves', if you haven't done so already. These holidays are slowly coming to an end for me. I'm looking forward to seeing what 2014 brings. Here's hoping it's filled with many wonderful m...

Paint Spot

I've always loved dresses with spots, ever since I spotted Julia Roberts from the movie Pretty Woman, wearing one. They're so feminine and pretty.  A couple of months ago, while perusing Karen Walker 's Spring/Summer collection online, I eyed this paint spot dress and couldn't resist it. I decided I would wear it on Christmas Day, rain, hail or shine. I was so lucky Melbourne's weather was behaving itself that day. Lucky for me! I cannot believe Christmas has been and gone already and now we're into the new year. Over the festive season, a wonderful time was had, catching up with family and my closest friends. We made the traditional roast with all of the trimmings and it was such a perfect day. Christmas has to be my favourite time of the year. How about you? What did you do? I've been enjoying the holidays so far. Of course shopping was high on my priorities, being a lover of all things fashion. I bought myself two beautiful dresses f...

Valentino Ready To Wear Spring 2014

When I first saw the new Ready To Wear Spring collection for 2014 by Valentino , I died, in a fashion sense of the word or in the words of Rachel Zoe herself.  The feminine silhouettes seen in this collection manage to fuse classic lines, youthfulness and sophistication together to make something quite gorgeous indeed. The fresh tones of candy pink and lime green, along with hints of floral bouquets are reminisc ent of the beauty of Spring itself. What's your favourite look from this collection? Well, beautiful peeps, I'm finally on holidays! I'm ready to celebrate Christmas with family and friends and feel truly blessed for all I have in my life.    Thanks for your support over the past year. I am very grateful to you. xx Wishing you and your family a fabulous Christmas, filled with many magical moments that warm your heart. I'm looking forward to showing you my Christmas outfit, so stay tuned. Until nex...

Karen Walker New Rose 2013-2014

I always get excited with every new collection created by uber-talented New Zealand designer, Karen Walker. The styles, prints and colourways are so appealing to me that I find her collection quite irresistible. There's always more then one garment I fall in love with. Karen Walker's New Rose collection is no exception. So what exactly is Karen's inspiration behind her New Rose collection? The inspiration comes from the UK, utilitarian meets feminine. It's a different kind of prettiness you'll see on the runway this time. Other influences relate to UK music, The Damned and Siouxsie Sioux.  I'm looking forward to seeing Karen Walker's new Spring/Summer 2014 collection. It'll be featured here soon, so watch this space. What have you been up to this weekend? Have you done all of your Christmas shopping yet? Thank God mine is all done now. I spent most of this afternoon in the garden, tending to the cottage plants which s...

taking time out

I've been so busy lately with work commitments, report writing and life in general. I feel like I haven't had much time for myself, so I decided to change things up a bit last weekend. To pep myself up, I chose to wear this Karen Walker silk dress. I love this because it has a vintage feel. It was rather chilly, so I jumped at the chance of wearing my favourite knee high boots ever! Of course, rainy days call for a handbag that can tolerate a bit of rain, so I decided to take my leather Miu Miu out with me.  I needed to run a few errands, so while I was out, I enjoyed a relaxing stroll down to the shopping strip along Balcome Road, Black Rock.  I love visiting one of my favourite boutiques, Pearl Rock , located at 603 Balcombe Road. Pearl Rock stock Australian and New Zealand designer labels, such as Karen Walker, Megan Park, Flannel and The Ark, plus a huge range of fabulous accessories. While I was there, I checked out...

Monochrome for the Melbourne Cup

I love dressing up. Even though we spent Melbourne Cup Day celebrating at home, I still got into the spirit of it all. I chose a monochrome look with a simple black top, cream brocade skirt, black floral headpiece and some black Mary-Jane pumps. I love the fact my wardrobe allows me to choose to make a bold statement with colour or to keep it sophisticated with monochrome tones, depending on my mood.  Do you tend to lean towards colour or do you prefer the monochrome look?  Can you believe how fast the year is going? It seems like just the other day that my husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary back in October. Cup day has been and gone and now we are starting to think about Christmas! Wishing you a fabulously fashionable week. Yours in style, Suzi x Brocade Skirt: Maria Westerlind Top: Filippa K Heels: Repetto Headpiece: Target Australia
