four seasons in one day

Well, our weather has gone from warm to FREEEZING in one day, would you believe? Melbourne's weather has always had a reputation of having four seasons in one day. I do love the fact it's cold now so I can start wearing my heavier cashmere sweaters. I am a sweater girl after all!

So here I am, wearing my favourite cashmere sweater by Spanish designer, Hoss Intropia. I just love the charcoal grey colour and the layered ruffles at the front.

I picked up this fabulous, pink tartan skirt by Denny Rose from Euro Collections situated in Mount Eliza. It was on sale, but was the only one left and, not being a size 12, I put it back on the rack. I couldn't believe my ears when I was told they could alter this skirt to fit me!! So it takes pride of place in my closet.

The skirt came with a keyring accessory which I just adore; A coin, bearing the designer's name-Denny Rose, another bearing the name of an animal shelter, which funds from the purchase of this garment are donated to, and a cross.

Just as I had finished taking photographs, it started to rain. In the space of about five minutes the sun came out. You see what I mean when I say "four seasons on one day"? Anyhow, after the rain, I saw the most beautful double rainbow I had ever laid my eyes upon.

As I laid my eyes upon this amazing sight, I wondered if there was any such thing as a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. To run and chase the rainbow would be an impossible feat, so I decided that there must be afterall. Anyone who could actually find the end of the rainbow would definitely deserve a pot of gold!!

Here's hoping your weekend is magical. I'd like to offer you all my sincere thanks for continuing to support my blog and for all of your valued feedback! Comments really do make my day! So go on, don't be shy, leave a comment below!

Oh and I would LOVE you to follow my blog too!

gelati in the gardens

I was joking with my better half about the outfit I chose to wear to our special family reunion. We needed to travel into the city to the Fitzroy Gardens, and on our journey, we kept eachother entertained by thinking of gelati flavours which matched my oufit. In the end we decided upon raspberry, strawberry, vanilla & mango! The morning was quite fresh, so I decided to wear a layer of silk/cashmere over my silk chiffon shirt. This magical blend always comes through when I'm in need of extra warmth and comfort. This ensemble was the perfect match for my raspberry coloured skirt!  For a picnic, flats seemed like the perfect choice, because of their practicality. So I decided to bring a touch of mango to the gelati mix! These mustard coloured, patent leather ballet flats, are so chic and comfortable. They are one of my favourite pairs of Repetto ballet flats, purchased from the fabulous Alice & Deb at Treasurette. Check out

Ballistic for Bally

I have always loved Bally , especially their shoes. They're made with the softest, luxurious leather I have ever worn. Bally were my first ever pair of high end designer shoes and they fit like a glove. So this post is going to be dedicated to one of the most prestigious design houses and their amazingly comfortable, chic shoes.  Here's some of my favourites from Bally's new S/S '12 collection: Which is your favourite? I love the classic black Otty-Crest pump and the teal and navy Palda wedge sandals. Have a great week! Mine will be an interesting one. I finish teaching for the term this coming Wednesday and go on a staff retreat to Creswick for the rest of the week. I'm looking forward to breathing in the crisp, clean country air! Olga De Polga

Melbourne based designer Olga de Polga  is renowned for their use of colour and vibrant patterns. I really enjoy adding a pop of colour when I style outfits, so if you love colour, you are bound to find something fabulous. On my recent visit, I picked up two pairs of Lillian pants, a new style to ODP, in both pink and caramel. These colours go so well with other pieces in my wardrobe. Style tip: I will not add anything to my wardrobe if it doesn't go with other pieces, so I am very particular when choosing a new piece to add to my collection. The cords fit really well, sitting at mid-waist and fall at the perfect length. The corduroy fabric is soft and feels so cosy, so perfect for Winter here in Melbourne!  Have you visited Olga de Polga? If so, what are your favourite pieces? If you haven't been in store yet, make sure you do so soon, because some styles are selling out really fast. Have a great rest of the week! Yours in style, Suzi x  What I'm Wearing ODP Lillian pants
